Might have found the perfect intro song.

It's been brought up the last few years, but I still think "Cochise" by Audioslave would make a great football entrance. I can just picture a sweet entrance video with clips of the team spliced with video of people fleeing from tornadoes set to that song.

This would also be an awesome intro song

Disturbed - Indestructible - YouTube

I have always liked disturbed, and that does fit pretty well. But then again that is my type of music, so I am biased. Does seem to fit well, siren, tempo, and lyrics

Some of this actually works too, I am sure someone with some editing skills could make this into something decent. Seems like something I would hear in the Hilton though, not sure why I think that..

Been saying this for years...use the first part with the siren...get Corey Taylor to record a new speech for, "This is the year where..."

Play up to the part where the crowd (or maggots) alternately roar...then maybe go into a different song...

I don't know how you can't get pumped up listening to that...it's on my iPod when I run and every time I hear it I imagine it playing at Jack Trice with the players running out and the crowd doing the alternating roars...always makes me want to tackle anybody that's walking/running by...

Probably not a great entrance song...but would be good for highlights before the entrance...Maylene and the Sons of Disaster - Step Up (I'm On It) - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQX57tL4Y-Y]Maylene and the Sons of Disaster - Step Up (I'm On It) [official music video] - YouTube[/ame]

So are the Everly Brothers, but I don't want ISU taking the field to "Wake up, Little Susie".
Thank you!

I don't get the "Slipknot is from Iowa, that is why we should use them" argument.

I Will never understand the people who want this song. Do you not realize that WE ARE THE STORM! If you are "riding the storm out", you are "beating the cyclones"!

WAIT? SO THE SONG "BACK IN BLACK" IS ABOUT THE HAWKEYES GETTING FORNICATED? ... you may be taking the song lyrics too literally... its relatable to the mascot and if you own it, it will work...

My wine bottle's low
watching for the snow
Thinking 'bout
what I'm missing in the city

(chorus)
And I'm not missin' a thing
Watchin' the full moon crossin' the range
Ridin' the storm out
Ridin' the storm out
Ridin' the storm out
Ridin' the storm out

Maybe its the fans that are riding the storm that's being produced by our team... you know, play up the hearty midwesterner stock... I can hear the students chiming in with "NOT MISSING A THING"

I heard a song on xm radio the other day that started out with the "woah oh oh oh woah ah oh but to a different tune, and then it said something 'cincinnati'!

It had the perfect set up for a cyclone entrance with that song and instead of cincinnati say cyclone!

Rep to anyone that can find this song as I've been listening to xm station that I heard it on the last week and haven't heard it!

Please someone find it, iirc it might be artist jj something and I don't know why that rings a bell tia

Now if someone can this song, I will reward you greatly around tailgating time. I heard a song a few weeks back in the bars, but I only caught some of the chorus. All I know is *clap* I'm watching you *clap**clap* had an 80s sound to it. I'm watching you, or I'll be watching you. Its not the Rockwell song, I wish I could sing it, but the claps and the watching you is all I got. I've searched up and down on YouTube and Google with no luck.

I'm sure there are members of the marching band who play other instruments such as an electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and of course drums, who could come up with a rockin' version of the Iowa State Fight song? This would be really cool if they got it started with a tornado siren at the beginning with nice little guitar/bass/drum barrage that led into the rockin' fight song...and as the team is coming onto the field have the marching band start playing the same time the p.a. music starts to add to the excitement. PLUS - this would involve young people from IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY and make it totally original. Why use somebody else's music when I'm sure we have aspiring/creative musicians on campus.

Being somewhat of a guitar player I have been messing around with this for a while but have yet to come up with something I really like.

In my many travels to Tigerland, I had heard this done in Baton Rouge at a club following an L.S.U. win many a times (for their Geaux Tigers/L.S.U. Fight Song) and the place went bonkers.

And to top it all off - How many college teams do you know come out to their own rockin' version of a fight song?

You shouldn't get it. It's stupid. Thankfully it will never happen. Slipknot is terrible, their music is terrible. In no way should they or any of their music be associated with Iowa State football.
