1. I would have serious reservations about a coach at this level of ball that doesn't want to play good competition. It's a non conference game so who gives a ****. It should set you uip for a conference run.

2. Wait till Ball State or Old Dominion beat them. As a coach if you lose to Oklahoma no problem everyone does. You lose to the MAC you might as well pack your bags cuz you going to get run out of town.

3. And the AD supports this?

Someone at Nebraska scheduled Oklahoma assuming they'd naturally be on OU's level.

They need to realize their new ceiling is identical or slightly lower than ISU and Iowa. Meaning they can have success but only with a very good fit at head coach and not the kind of success Alabama/Clemson have been having.

Oh, so Nebraska was just going to go ahead and schedule an 8th home game to make it 13 regular season games because the NCAA was totally going to go along with it.

Once this became public, they had no choice. It would look SO bad if they bailed on this game only to play a MAC school or Old Dominion. Instead, they will get curb stomped by OU. I really hope OU takes out the anger of every Big 12 team from when UNL bailed for the Little 14.
It's gonna be an epic beating.

Moos is correct about the impact on the local, and even state economy.

But lets face it - they were hoping to avoid (yet another) nationally-televised ass kicking.

REAL teams play OU twice each year. New ISU shirt. Start the printers. Underneath it should be a crying baby in a NU diaper

Breaking news. University of Nebraska, after learning University of Kansas cancelled games in Big 12 basketball tournament after positive COVID tests, following being in the same arena with University of Oklahoma, has determined to cancel the football game with the Sooners on September 18, 2021. No other athletic events are affected at this time.

If COVID is still around this fall, Nebraska will definitely have an outbreak the week of the Oklahoma game.

Gonna be a little suspicious if it's knocked down for everyone else but they manage to find cases, haha.
