Favorite Milan game was the Arizona B12 tournament game. He scored 9 points in 28 seconds before halftime. 28 points in the game. 5 rebounds, 1 blocked shot against the #2 team in the country.
Would honestly be surprised if he didn’t end up coming back
My favorite memory was a couple years ago when I was 13 and my dad got me surprise tickets to the ISU - Houston game. It was a blizzard so tickets were hella cheap. We got to sit in one of the student sections because it was over winter break. I still remember that moment when he hit the game winner fade away to beat #2 Houston and I knew it was going to be a good run. Idk why I'm treating this like a memorial but whatever.
Blum said it best when he said if Milan is a late first round pick he’s financially better to come back and get his 3 million from Iowa state
The end of the 1st you get 2 years guaranteed totaling about $5.1 or $5.2m. Obviously if you can get $3m and improve or maintain your position it’s better to come back.
If you feel almost certain you’ll get picked in the first and have any concerns being a year older and maybe slipping into the 2nd next year, it might be better to jump now.
I think his challenge is that his grades will have him borderline first. In that case coming back seems like a no-brainer. Turning down NIL then slipping to the second would be a bad move.
That is my favorite ISU game I attended. My daughter and I went to that one. Crowd was smaller but was LOUD. When Milan hit that shot it had to be the loudest without a full Hilton ever.
