I'm starting a support thread for those of us who will be forced to miss watching the game live tomorrow. I'm going to be boarding a plane at tip-off time and in the air until it is probably over trying to get home from a work trip.

Question for the masses: does anyone have a peculiar method to find out the result of the game when you have to miss one?

In the past I've watched highlights after I get home to see if we won, but I find myself wanting to watch the whole game since it's a big season opener. I'm not in the Midwest anymore and I don't have a way to record it. Any ideas?

I'm not happy with the 4pm tip. With my luck, I will be stuck at work. Wind turbines don't care what your plans are

espn3 would be your best bet. If you go straight to espn3, they do a good job of not listing the scores of any games, so you can view it free of spoilers. Game is usually posted for replay within an hour or two of its ending.

I know Iowa State lost if the plane lands, I turn on my phone, and there are a bunch of buzzes for new texts. That's how I found out ISU lost to UAB last year.

I found out after getting back on a boat at Grand Cayman. I proceeded to buy a 7 dollar 25 oz Fosters and drank alone on the poop deck.

I will also be on a plane during the game. Have set the DVR, and hope the storms yesterday didn't mess that up. Go Cyclones!!

Since this is on ESPN2 it should be available on WatchESPN correct? I hope so because that was my plan to stream the first half while at work tomorrow.

If I were flying during it, I'd be tempted to purchase the Wifi and try to stream it on WatchESPN, but I have no idea how good in-flight wifi is for streaming video. I could see it not being good, but it might be an option. You could also stream the audio from cyclones.tv, that might go better.

I purchased the Delta Wi-Fi last year to catch a game in-flight...it didn't go very well. I don't think it had the speed to stream. I would get bits and pieces of the game, but mainly just a 'buffering' screen - had to switch to just stream audio. That was on Cyclones.tv

Neulion is a whole different animal as their servers suck. WatchESPN has far better performance (usually).

As others have mentioned, the game will be available on WatchESPN, and almost immediately for on demand replay as well.

Ugggh.... I had a meeting that I had to go to right around the time we retook the lead with a couple min left. In the meeting I lost the internet connection and was trying to reload the gamecast. Before that happend...I got probably 6 IMs all with unhappy face emoticons. That was not a good day.

Working till 6pm. Luckily most will be gone by 5pm and we have a massive big screen in the break room. I will control the remote.

Problem should be solved in next three months, for airplanes. Not in time for Friday's game, though.

I left the Oklahoma State game in 2011 at halftime because I had to catch a flight the next morning at 6 am. Found out later that evening via my phone exploding from people who I went to the game with giving me hell.

Still baffles me we use Neulion. It's like using Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer to browse the interwebs.
