This could be literally anything. Ran off with another woman (or man). Going on a drug bender. Planning a heist. Mental breakdown. Some combination of the above.

Hopefully, it's nothing too terrible for all involved. If I had to speculate, I would say its drug-related in some way.

Yeah, knowing whether the person he left with was a man or woman would make my guess about what happened a lot different.

Trying to avoid the blonde female bias of not caring about a missing white male. A man has been missing from Walker for around three weeks now.

"Bagley, 31, left his home on December 13th. His wife said Bagley told her he would be back after a bit. He then took off with a person she didn't really know-- leaving his truck and wallet behind. He was last seen on December 14th in the Cedar Rapids-area. Investigators are not saying who spotted him."

"In the time Bagley has been missing, he's made no phone calls to family, sent no messages, and left behind few clues as to where he may have gone."

I like that someone did this for a male, if you have ever seen the movie Red Pill you would understand why I say this.

An earlier story mentioned that he had a history of alcoholism but has been dry for nine years.

Not exactly sure.
Had a guy at work who would disappear for a week or two at a time and then show back up like nothing happened. Since this was through a temp agency, this was allowed if he contacted that he would not be in for a bit. Turns out he would go homeless and drink out of a brown bag during that time. After a bit he would dust himself off, go home, clean up and stay clean for about 6-9 months. Never know with some.

Or maybe a cash advance against one or more credit cards. I've never taken one but I'm assuming that if you were planning on disappearing and had no intention of paying it back that would be a good way to get some quick cash.

Yes, they start charging interest from the moment you make the transaction. Pretty hefty fee as well if I remember. I did it once as well. And it wasn't even all that much money

Worked in a bank several years ago. Every once in a while someone would come in and ask for one of these. We'd explain that in addition to the transaction fee (which was large), the interest charge starts immediately, and is a separate, higher rate generally. (For example, I'm looking at a CC statement now, the standard interest rate is 14.99%, the cash advance rate is 20.99%.)

Unless you absolutely must pay in cash, it's much better to just pay for whatever it is you're paying for using the credit card the "regular way."

Sounds like drugs involved. Probably owed someone a lot of money or something?

Left with an acquaintance of his, but did not take his wallet or keys, and texted his wife an hour later and said "I love you". Not good.

This is about a mile away from me. Odd circumstances all around. I've read elsewhere that all kinds of crap has been happening at this house recently. The homeowner's wife was jailed for meth. There was a burglary report recently too. Still I wonder if the guy just OD'd on something and the homeowner freaked out and buried him.

Wouldn't digging a hole in your yard in December be pretty suspicious in and of it's self? I would think that you would almost need equipment to dig then. Maybe the ground wasn't frozen then, this winter seems like it has been going on for a couple years.

I dont think the ground was frozen much if it happened in December. Thing that I cant get over is why would u bury the guy in your yard?

Well they would probably catch you if you buried him at the city hall. Maybe they buried him in a rival drug dealer's yard. Most likely, as stated above, they are morons. Really makes me wonder how/why it takes years to catch and arrest these guys.

You are seriously implicating someone by name on the internet based on a rumor you heard?

That's bold.
That's the name of the guy that lives/lived at the house. Reason why I know that is because the person that I got my info from lives 2 houses away.
