Nothing is more certain than the "We didn't want him anyway" reaction of a fanbase that loses a recruit to a lesser program

True of CF and of everywhere else

Hey son I have 4 years of game tape to show you. I'm warning you it isn't pretty and viewer discretion is advised. It's a very brutal attempted murder of a great program by your future coach.

Oh, I know KU still wanted him. I have no idea of what a season of not playing at all does in recruiting. I just see stories like this where guys get injured and coaches stop paying as much attention to them. Just speculating is all. It's REALLY early for a '17 kid to be committing is all. Who knows, maybe he just likes to jack up a zillion threes a game, which he'll certainly get to do at Creighton. Good luck to the kid, hope he likes it here in Omaha.

Laugh all you want, but Creighton is much better than they were last season, and they are competing in the second tier of a very difficult Big East conference. If they can get a big win down the stretch, they will have a good shot at making the tournament.

And they look to be even better next season. Their core starters are back and Marcus Foster is eligible to play next year.

Ballock won't be there for two more seasons.

Kansas looks to be struggling a bit on the recruiting trail.
?? This is a class of 2017 recruit. Since we target about 30 recruits a year it seems like, the vast majority of players we target will end up going somewhere else. I think KU is doing just fine in recruiting.

I realize that, my post had nothing to do with this kid playing there. It's actually better for Ballock, because he probably wouldn't see much playing time next season anyway.

McDermott could always recruit. Keeping players on campus after they arrived was the issue in Ames. Hasn't been an issue yet in Ohmaha, he is comfortable at that size of school.
Let's also not forget M. Foster, from KSU, will be eligible for McD next year too they should make noise in the Big East next year.
I am not sure how much contact the new staff had with Bullock, especially with the expected strength of ISU back court the next couple of years. Anytime KU loses a top level shooter prospect I consider it a good thing, even if it is to a former coach.

I stopped reading at first as if there was a period after the bolded word...and your sentence still made perfect sense.

Creighton will have a more complete roster next year than we do. Guess you have to hand it to McDermott. But also we have to deal with and be understanding of the transition that inevitably happened.
