This game would be a big time win. Starting 3-0 in Big 12 and having a win over a ranked Mizzou would look really nice for us. The kool aid has already been getting sipped with this 2-0 start, but if we beat Mizzou only God knows how much CF would explode with kool aid drinking. My prediction............

I think we come out on our game and Hilton is rocking. With Hilton rocking, it's hard for anyone to win in there.

Mizzou's shooting ability scares the crap out of me, but I also like the way our defense has been playing the last 2 games. I think we will have to score in the 80's to win this game, and I'm not sure we can do that. Hopefully Hilton Magic will be out in full force to help ISU!

Let me also add that this game has a very similar feeling to what the Texas football game had this year...coming off a great start with a chance for a statement win. Hopefully we dont blow this opportunity!

Mizzou's guards are REALLY good.

English at 6'6 presents a really touch matchup for Royce. My guess is that he will guard Royce much of the game.

This is one of those games that Ejim and Booker will play huge rolls in if we win. We will need huge offensive output from them, as our guards will struggle to score.
 
For the first time since we lost to Kansas at home Brackins's last season I am predicting us to upset a ranked opponent. We almost beat Kansas then and we are going to finish the deal against Mizzou on their last trip to Hilton for awhile.

We did not almost beat KU in Brackins last year. I remember that game pretty well...it was the moment I stopped supporting McDermott.

I doubt English will guard White much. Royce should be able to dominate him in the paint. I expect we may go small with Ejim playing the 4 quite a bit. He matches up well with English, and then you have White v Ratliffe/Moore. If we get in a flow offensively he should get 10 fouls from those two. I'd like to see him taking them off the dribble from the top of the key. As long as he properly identifies the double, that should work well.

I think the biggest key to the game is to not give up easy points off of turnovers in the press and in transition. I'm not too worried about our offense (as long as we don't go cold from 3) or half-court defense.

I also think, coming off a loss, the best thing we can do is to make an early run. Get up 6-10 points early, and they may just roll over (like they did against KSU).
 
I think their guards will give us fits and that will be the difference unless we shoot absolutely lights out. Plus the big loss at KState will have them torked off and we may be a bit overconfident after all the accolades the last week.

You do remember better than I. I knew we lost, I was at the game and remember part of the game being close, which we were ahead half way through the first half. Before Kansas went on a 25-11 run in which the games was over at that point. so I aplogize because the score was not close at the end. However it was my last predicted victory over a ranked team which i did say i was wrong.
Hopefully not this time

I watched most of Mizzou v K-State on Saturday. K-State's defense was really good. We'll need some really good "d" on the perimeter to beat them and not having Bubu hurts.

I've been a Cyclone too long and this team has been too inconsistent this year. But, we'll be close late and Royce hits a big FT to win by 1. Mizzou misses at the buzzer: 76-75 us.

Agreed, I'm hoping ISU can get them in foul trouble early with Missouri's limited bench.
