I think that was the same team that lost to a 15 seed in the first round of the Tourney the next week. Loved it.

Norfolk St.

I watched that game at a strip club on the giant wall TV. God almighty that was a great day. The dancers were slightly annoyed we were paying too much attention to the game, but we tipped well. Plus it was the afternoon I think and nobody else was there.

If I remember correctly there was a year, 87 or 88, that the fire alarm was pulled at the hotel where ISU stayed. Coach Orr told our fans not to retaliate when Missouri visited here.

I watch Missouri because Dujuan Gordon transferred there, and I like coach Martin. They're not very good. One or two guys can score. Good defense. But ISU should win this one comfortably in Hilton.

If the Cyclones turn in another Jackson St/TCU level offensive performance, they can lose to anyone.

However, Misery is currently 239th in defensive efficiency. If there was ever a post New Years game for the Cyclones to get off the Schneid offensively, this game in Hilton would be it.

Why must you dig up this old memory? But since you did, it was senior year and I was at Thumbs drunk as hell and stumbling distance to my buddies apartment. You always remember the brutal beats
Just remembering our old conference 'friend', ahem.

Well anyway. All the more reason to swing the needle more into ISU's favor this time around. Not that I would want a 4OT win. A blowout curb-stomping would be just fine.

Sorry to bring back the hard memory though.
