Joe Torre had the balls to drop A-Rod in the order. Girardi...not so much.
If A-Rod hits 3 tomorrow Girardi should be relieved of his duties when he turns in the lineup card.

1. Jeter
2. Ichiro
3. Teixiera/Cano
4. Teixiera/Cano
5. Martin
6. Granderson/Rodriguez/DH
7. Granderson/Rodriguez/DH
8. Granderson/Rodriguez/DH
9. Swisher -> can't hit with RISP so that should keep him from having to do so. :biglaugh:

Thank the good lord. I don't even care if Ibanez strikes out...anything is an upgrade from A-Rod.

Be nice if the Orioles decided to lose their first extra inning game since April.

I hate all these pansies who duck out of the way of pitches which are near hitting them. Wear it! This is postseason baseball and base runners are at a premium. Especially when there's roughly a 115% chance you strike out if you're wearing #14 in a Yankee uniform.

Isn't it a rule the batter has to make a valid attempt at getting out of the way of a pitch otherwise the ump can call off the HBP?

It's funny how Arod gets so much flack but Granderson is there sucking even more and no one says a damn word about him.

Turn your back into it. Protects everything important and as long as you don't lean out over the plate they aren't going to bring you back.

But yes you are supposed to make an attempt to avoid the ball. I personally think if you wear one of those monster pads on your elbow and it gets hit you shouldn't get first base. You want to get first for getting hit you can earn it.

I have. I despise Granderson and would love to have Austin Jackson back.

And in some fairness, A-Rod is hitting #3 and Granderson is hitting #8. I don't expect production from the 8th spot in the order.

I really don't care how much money they make, Granderson is so much worse than Arod.
How many teams expect production from the 8 hole in the lineup? I wouldn't be surprised if there were pitchers who had a better average than Granderson did. He's the Yankees version of Adam Dunn.
