Re: MONDAY MUINGS: The greatness of Georges Niang becoming more clear

Hadn't thought of this, but it is imperative that Big Georges makes his way to Cyclone Alley for Senior Night on 2/29. Anybody who knows how to make that happen - please do!

Big Georges has been to every game just laying on the tarp. Someone needs to get him dancing.

Speaking of which, did anyone see Big Buddy during the OU/KU game? They had him in the front row of the student section trying to distract the KU free throw shooters. That's what we need to do with Big Georges.

Make it happen. Front row for Senior Night. Who cares if it blocks someone's view for a few moments.

In fact, it should never leave the building after Senior Night. After the final buzzer, they should have a rope pull it to the rafters!

Re: MONDAY MUINGS: The greatness of Georges Niang becoming more clear

This is an interesting piece, but I don't remember the big 12 playing a conference game (speaking to FB and BB that is) on a Sunday in recent memory, so I doubt that would be a factor that would sway any decisions.

1. While FB and MBB make the money, it would probably be somewhat difficult to not schedule any other sports events involving BYU on a Sunday. It wouldn't be impossible, but it is a legit concern.

2. Part of the reason why the Big 12 has only Saturday conference games is that there are only 5 games to schedule each Saturday. If you add 2 more teams it is more likely that ESPN will want to move one to Sunday. OR.....ESPN will not want to televise all of the conference games.

It's not FB & MBB that would be the issue, its the rest of the sports.

And on Georges....I find it hard to believe we only have 3 home games left with him. 3. He's definitely one of the best to ever play here and deserves to have his number retired. Just like Mel. And for as good of a player that Georges is and he really is elite, I think my favorite thing is how much personality and fun he's brought here. No one can talk smack with a twinkle in his eye like Georges. I'd like to think that even if I were an Iowa fan, I'd appreciate Georges's way of embracing the rivalry.

Unfortunately there will always be "that one guy" who "didn't wait outside all week to sit behind a sign"

Best Dunk contest since Jordan and Dominique. And I thought the dunk contest was dead.

Dunk contests I actually remember. Jordan vs Dominique. Spud Webb. Dee Brown. Vince Carter. 2016. It was awesome. Hell, I might even watch it again next year. Didn't watch one second of the All-Star game.

So Fizer and Tinsley's jerseys will never be hung because they didn't graduate?

Is that the same at other schools? Will Kentucky never hang any jersey's of players from the last 6 years that were one or two and done?

Did Jordan graduate? I'm guessing UNC hung that regardless. Many other examples.
Jordan completed his degree in 86 so yes.

I'd rather get two powerful basketball schools than football schools, our conference already seems football heavy.
