My wife and I like to camp at Ledges in their walk-in sites. It is so peaceful back there.

Blue Grass IA-Jensen Beach FL
Mustang 5.0 convertible (top down, of course) with favorite tunes blasting on a twisty and hilly county road in Iowa when it's nice. Smells of mown hay, gravel dust, and even the occasional confinement lots as you pass.

And no damn deer darting out in front of me with no warning, please.

Sand bar hopping on a pontoon in Wabasha.

Sitting in the woods behind my parents' place, waiting for a deer or turkey, and reading a good book.

sitting on the beach in Negril next to DH. Good book in my hand, frozen strawberry daiquiri on the table, and a slight breeze as we sit in the shade.

Or, walking the grounds at night while the tree frogs chirp.

Little more common - cross stitching on the couch watching a good PBS show while DH reads the paper next to me. Maybe soon this will be sitting in our sunroom with a breeze coming in. Fake Jamaica.

Lake Panorama with the family and/or friends enjoying a cold beer on the boat. Will need plenty of those this summer to take the sting out of this one.

Every time I visit northern California, I always have to make at least one trip to visit "my ocean." It's one of those places where, even if the weather is bad, I know I can at least park the car, crack the windows and listen to the waves crash. One of my favorite spots is Rodeo Beach in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from SF. Baker Beach is great, as are any of the beaches in Sonoma County. Rodeo Beach is great for watching surfers, picking up shark teeth, and not having to drive very far to find it.

In Oregon with DH, either in Portland at a bar on the banks of the Columbia or sitting outside at one of the region's MANY wineries, sipping and watching nature. Every time it makes me wonder why I'm such a Cyclone fan because Iowa State is so far away and it really doesn't matter what happens there.
(And when we get back home, I wonder how I ever thought like that. Has happened several times now.)

I'd like to say it's driving through national wildlife preserves/parks in Washington State or Oregon, but DH would remind me that we've never been able to spot any wildlife on our trips through them yet. Kind of defeats the purpose, for me.

Im going to go with the others and say 'along a beach, hearing the Ocean'.

Very glad to say i'll be along one in a week when i go up to Seattle and down along the Oregon coastline. Had the trip planned before all of this mess, and it looks to be good timing.

Two places. We make a trip back to Ames every summer so I can play my favorite golf course ever, Vennker Memorial. I told my wife when I kick the bucket, just crispy critter me and sprinkle me on the #1 tee box.

Also, Marco Island, Fl. We visit every winter. What a great beach. So many cool places to have a drink and watch the gulf.
