I guess Thomas won't be poaching all of the TD's from Warren now? Seriously though, this isn't great. I think Thomas was our RB2 and Montgomery was WR3 statistically.

Montgomery has NFL size and had flashes of brilliance. Didn't ever seem to fully buy in.

Losing Thomas sucks just because he has experience and could step in if Warren gets hurt.

Oh well, I'm behind CMC and trust his decisions.

I feel like I let you guys down... I was just going to start a thread before this came out.

Heard through come people close to football players that about 20ish players have left or are leaving the program. TWENTY. Reasons why: Campbell to business like and staff about winning, not family oriented like CPR, coaches spending time on young guys and new recruits has been taken wrong way by older players, etc.

I fear these two are the first of many....

Shame Mongomery didn't springboard off his 2014 year. Thomas was a solid true freshman running back, but I think we will be fine without him. Seems strange he would leave considering Many programs use a two running back set. CMC is a run first coach too, so this is extra strange imo.

Yep, I don't know what people were expecting. There is going to be a ton of roster turnover in the next couple months.

Not exactly sure.
maybe thats why we recruited a few RBs? Did staff know he was leaving?

Could be. But it would be nice to have 2 backs that I feel comfortable with (not that I matter, just speaking for myself). I know warren was a RSFR, but he did have a little problem that routinely landed him on the bench for a few plays.

Fear? I'm jubilant. Clean the house. As long as Lazard, Lanning, and Warren are on board everyone else can gtfo.

Well that sucks....
The older players need to understand they have to get talented young guys. You could be the best family man and mentor in the world but you need talent and recruiting is a very competitive and demanding world.

I used to work for a company that went through a lot of mergers and acquisitions. We always figured that it took about 25-30% turnover in employees before a true culture change would take effect. I'm not saying that the FB roster needs to have those kind of numbers but I am saying that it may be necessary to have significant turn over in order to quickly and effectively change the culture in this program.

That's awesome that Rhoads was more of a 'family man' as you say. But you know what, too many stupid decisions that cost us wins made my family angry. He didn't care about my family.

I agree, I think this is why the BB is struggling a little. It's not fully prohms team yet. Also why Fred's senior year wasn't that electrifying. It was JOs team coached by Floyd.
