I think a couple Iowa fans are so down on their program after this last season and now with their recruiting class that they feel the need to come over here to ol' CF & attempt to flame away trolling to make themselves feel better.

I wouldn't trade our recruiting class for theirs in a nanosecond. Iowa got some good OL, but that's basically it. One guy had almost all of the other offers from P5 teams by himself alone. Iowa has had a better track record developing talent. However, that has changed quite a bit since the Rhabdo-incident. Coincidence? I think not.

As to on the field, we strolled into Kinnick last year with a poor team, did not play particularly well, and walked out with a W. Having Cousin back helps along the DL with depth, and with a full year with the coaching staff and new players added, I view these as positive developments. Over the hump type developments? I don't know. Enough to kick Iowa's *** in 2015. Absolutely.

If I was an Iowa fan, I'd be all over the Minnesota and Purdue message boards rubbing it in. Those are the only 2 rated lower (by 247) than they in this past recruiting cycle. Oh wait, they can't do that with Minny. They kicked Iowa's *** this past season & will do so again with 'lesser' recruiting classes. Purdue it is then. Enjoy.

Devlyn Cousin is the topic. Stop feeding the troll and derailing an ISU thread.

A lot of concentration on Iowa in your posting. Thank you for your support.

I haven't gotten close to the realm of such a statement and I'm not trying to play hypotheticals. I can tell you I know of at least one team who didn't win any games in the B12.

Why all the topic changes?

If you aren't for hypotheticals than it's clear who the better team was based on the game on September 13th. Now go back to HN.

Lets see here, Big 10 a power? Lets look at how the powerhouse Hawks did in that almighty conference. I combined both divisions based on conference finishes. To spark you memory here's how they did :

OSU- DNP
Mich. St. - DNP
Wisconsin- L
Minn- L
Nebr- L
Maryland- L
Iowa
Rutgers- DNP
Mich- DNP
Illin- W
Northwest- W
Purdue- DNP
Indiana- W

Looks like the Hawks didn't bring anything to the table for their conference this year.

Iowa State.......who beat a poor Iowa team at Kinnick. What is your point? To prove that Iowa would have finished behind Iowa State if the Hawkeyes played in the Big 12?

It will be fun beating Iowa again in Jack Trice in our newly expanded stadium. Enjoy. The big scoreboards at both ends of the stadium are awesome.

Please quote where I said Iowa was a power or performed well in the Big Ten this year. I offer you thanks in advance.

It's hypothetical to say Iowa would have finished behind Iowa State. You're saying that Virginia Tech would have won the national title had they been in the College Football Playoff.

There are a few things that can be proven. Iowa lost to Iowa State this past year. Iowa State didn't win a single Big 12 game. And ISU fans on here will climb on top of each other to show off their Napoleon complex.

The last paragraph contains things that have been shown to be true. The first paragraph is conjecture.

Well at least the team will be "Perky" with all those cheerleaders on the field. Now get back on your moped and ride off to your son's subsidized housing furiously chomping on your chewing gum and cash your retention check for underperforming.
Bring It On. That might be interesting.

My biggest takeaway from the past year has been that Iowa really hates losing to teams they are better than.

If Cousins plead guilty to the charge, took responsibility, met the legal requirements and the higher requirements to rejoin the team, then perhaps he learned from this experience and will be better for it. I do not take CPR to be one to bring a problem player back to the program, based on recent history. I am quite sure he will be on a short leash as far as further trouble is concerned. I think it shows he is taking responsibility and moving forward.
