He actually mentioned it a few days ago, I think it was during yesterday's show actually. He was talking about how he's buying the Big 10 and selling the Big 12 in the future. He seems to think the Big 12 could still implode in a few years.

Yeah but you know they had the Harbaugh interview lined up at least a week or two in advance. It's not like they decided the day before to get an interview with Harbaugh. These things get arranged well ahead of time so Cowherd mentioning his appreciation of the B1G a few days ahead of his interview with Harbaugh was just paving the way so he could say it's something he's bought into before Jim got on the phone. Pretty transparent. I guarantee if he had Stoops in the queue and ultimately on the phone he wouldn't say anything about being down on the Big 12. The guy is just a gutless brownnoser who then gets other guys on the phone to reaffirm his opinion. I seriously don't see how anyone could think the guy is clever, witty, or intelligent. My 10 year old daughter could outwit the guy, but then he'd just put her on 'mute' and spend the next hour talking about how right he was.

You're right. Harbaugh is the nicest, easiest-goingguy in the business. How would anybody (including today's example of Colin) consider him difficult?

He pushes and he wins. So naturally, guys like you don't like him. He's not the easiest to get along with because he expects perfection or at least max effort all of the time and that's what he gives and it just doesn't stop. Also, in college football, success is more important than likability, especially when kids will be gone every four or five years. The guy is a functioning lunatic that cares zero about being liked. He's aware of all of these things and is comfortable with it. His satellite camps were brilliant with the ultimate troll job of inviting every other coach in the country and I honestly believe that was as much about just loving football and wanting to teach it as much as it was about recruiting.

Heard this today and thought I'd share. Love Jim Harbaugh and didn't feel a bit sorry for Cowherd. LOL!

Definitely awkward to listen to. LOL!

Harbaugh is intense, but I think there are other descriptors, such as self-interested, contrarian, and always wanting the upper hand. When Colin went so much after the intensity issue in the introduction, I think Harbaugh may have decided to not be put in that box. And then I think Harbaugh got offended when he thought the Big 10 was being called a "bye" (when Colin was calling it a "buy"). He always seems to do something in interviews to take control and turn it around on the media. I was in Chicago when he played for the Bears and he never quite seemed to fit. When he interviewed for the Iowa State job, the story goes that he didn't care at all about his language and demeanor (things which Pollard cares alot about). Once again with Colin, Harbaugh showed that he is his own guy and doesn't care about fitting someone else's mold.

I didn't hear any of this interview, though I do hear Cowherd once in a while, but what happened that couldn't be explained by this simple statement.

Harbaugh is crazy.
