Watching Jaws tonight had me wondering what the most recognizable movie theme song of all time was.

The Godfather theme (even though I am not a fan).

And because I love David Lean movies I have to include Doctor Zhivago, Bridge Over the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia even if these might not be so recognizable these days.

Rocky, Top Gun, and Star Wars. My Heart will go on from Titanic sadly also deserves mention.

Also, any John Hughes movie song from the 80's deserves some mention. The 90's and 00's had very minimal for quality movie theme songs it is looking like.

john williams easily gets five or six, shore for LOTR, zimmer and horner are amazing, but they both do similar things in each movie so nothing sticks out.

I would say the imperial march is more famous than the main theme of star wars too.
