My family has been sharing Google Play Music and absolutely love it. My favorite feature, and the one that differentiates it from the others, is that you can also upload up to 50,000 songs and then stream them anywhere. I listen to a lot of random/live/bootleg stuff that isn't available through any service, but I've uploaded them to Google Play Music and can stream them anywhere. I also really like their radio feature that you can play based on artist/song/album/mood/activity. Works great when having people over or a party.

All that said, I'm getting pretty annoyed with Google changing their plans over and over. As of now Google Play Music still works perfect but they are supposed to be migrating to YouTube Music. However, not all of the features (i.e. the uploaded songs) have been migrated yet. That said, I believe right now, if you subscribe to one, you get everything (for example, we pay for Google Play Music and get YouTube Red (shows and no ads) and YouTube Music included.

I've tried Spotify and wasn't a huge fan. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.

I use Napster which used to be Rhapsody. You can download pretty much any song you want to play on the app, select favorites, create playlists, listen to stations and other peoples playlists.

I personally like the user interface for the Napster app better than Spotify but it seems like a lot of the features are the same.

They have a 30 day free trial of the Premium service and it's 9.99 a month after that. No adds at all with Premium which is a huge plus.

We use the Amazon Music Unlimited Family plan. $149/yr for up to 6 different devices at one time. Kids love asking Alexa to play songs on the different Echo devices around the house. I also use it to download songs / albums/ playlists to my phone and play in my car via bluetooth.

This replaced my Sirius XM car subscriptions in 2 cars and is a lot more versatile and a lot less money as I can listen on computers, phones, Echo devices instead of just in the car. A couple of minutes a week to download new playlists or refresh "Top / Current" genre playlists.

Are you streaming it in your car via your phone? Just an FYI, you can set up Amazon Echo to use Spotify as well.

I download songs / playlists to my phone using wifi and use the offline music setting to stream in my car so I limit the amount of mobile data I am using.

I am aware that I can use Pandora, Spotify and other services on the Echo devices. It was just nice to have a single setup / account / password in the Amazon eco-system in lieu of bringing in another account to manage.

Spotify premium user here. If you want offline listening there is no comparison.
I'm curious what you mean by this. I've been very happy with Google Play Music's offline capabilities so not sure if it's use case related or what?

I'm a Google fan through and through and actually love Google Music. IMO it has better "Radio" algorithms than Spotify plus the benefits of family sharing with up to 6 other Google accounts for $15/mo. I also like the podcast integration.

Google services are a bit complicated since they start and stop and change names too often.

However, Youtube premium is a great value at 11.99 per month. You get ad free youtube, youtube music with ~30 million songs, you can download albums to your device for offline listening, you can play youtube videos in the background, and youtube originals.

I also use the crap out of Spotify. The only downside is that it can be stupid when you go from Wi-Fi to 4g sometimes.
