FWIW - About 150 people on the site know who the mystery candidates are, it'll leak soon enough, but hopefully after Prohm has had a chance to take hold and gain support.

If that many already know, might as well share with the rest of us.

I heard second hand (take it for what its worth) that Gregg Marshall was one of the mystery candidates. Should be taken strictly as rumor, but it makes you think that JP/Leath probably went for a mix of High $$$ candidates and low $$$ candidates, and picked the best value.

Do you know if any of those mystery candidates were actually offered the job and refused OR were they not offered because the fit wasn't right or their demands were too high?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but if Marshall was one, I'm glad he didn't get the job. Every time I've watched him coach or heard him interviewed I've had that skin-crawling feeling. I can't think of a better way to say it other than I think he's a d-bag.

Nope, no better than anybody else, just don't feel like spending the next week on here arguing the merits of why the mystery candidates didn't get the job or why Prohm is now deserving of our support. I've already spent the past two weeks giving out a lot of information, defending Chris and myself from personal attacks, and proving that there was no grand conspiracy. Oh, and did I mention that I don't even make a single penny from any of your clicks or the information? Zero, zilch, nadda.

While I'd love to know the "mystery candidates," I agree that it does no good for you to reveal them. This website is the one site that I visit the most (and has been dating all the way back to 2006). I appreciate the fact that you devoted sooo much of your time (at much personal cost) to start CF, Jeremy. Thanks for the news you were allowed to give during the ISU coaching carousel. As always, I (as well as many others on here) appreciate your insights!

If you aren't trying to hold your superiority over us, why not share? If it is that delicate, then these guys must have been much better and just another example of Jamie putting money ahead of winning.

Leath opened up the questioning by saying 7 interviewed.

Hey Jeremy, you were asked if you would spill it once the coach was named. Your reply was this:

Did something change?

Leath unexpectedly confirmed there were more candidates than publicly known, backing up what I've been saying, and I have nothing I personally need to prove. So, ultimately I decided it was better to help build support for Prohm then to add fuel to those that don't want him. Simple as that. Did I change my mind? Yep.

Because I don't need to and we have a new coach that needs our support, simple as that. Let's move on to supporting him and our team.
