I would like some feedback on a situation, mostly how to determine that this issue is a flaw with my spouse. He keeps driving over nails and I believe it must somehow be his fault.

April: Gets a nail in front right tire, has to be replaced
Last week: Gets a nail in left rear tire, has to be replaced. Replaced Monday.
TODAY: GETS A NAIL IN LEFT REAR TIRE, HAS TO BE REPLACED

Same car, same driver, different roads in use. The middle one happened an hour from home. Please give your feedback via poll or comments.

Discount Tires fixes them for free. If not I get the insurance and it's $15 for a new one. Love that place. Being in construction it's easy to get nails and screws in your tires.

Yeah, it's almost certainly a function of where he is driving.

If the nail is too close to the sidewall of the tire most shops will not patch them anymore. Had this happen on 1 of my cars a couple years ago, had nails in 2 tires. One they could patch the other was on the last part of the tread next to the sidewall and I got 2 or 3 opinions on it that all told me they would not repair it that close to the sidewall as it would likely compromize the tire belt. The worst part was since this is an AWD vehicle you can't just replace the 1 you must replace at least 2 as if the treads are too far difference it can cause damage to your drive train. So that vehicle now has 2 different tread wear for tires as there was still a good amount of tread on the set we had on it that I was not going to buy another full set of 20 inch tires over a nail in 1 that could not be patched.

New theory, he uses a tiny tire shop that is across from a strip club. Perhaps in April he decided to wander over and struck it up with one of the homegrown honeys and is now looking for ways to go see her that I won't find suspicious.

On a much less expensive note, on Monday I went to put 3 different golf polos on that had all recently been through the laundry and all 3 were missing the middle button on the collar. I'm absolutely perplexed at how that could happen.
