Well, then you really do give a legit reason for Iowa fans use the SB term--you likely still remind them of a win over a marginal and overrated Iowa team while ISU went on to sputter through a marginal season of their own and choked hard at the end for the 2nd year in a row.

It's the biggest game on the schedule for both teams in the regular season. Any fan for either team that denies this is lying. As far as that season specifically for Iowa State's standards it was a good year. While there were disappointing moments including the home collapse vs Baylor and Shaggy's miss vs Kansas there were still other good moments like Curvey's pick 6.

@CryTwins Is there something you disagree about this, or are you just mad that people agree with me that you are obsessed with the Hawkeyes?

Really?? That is all it takes to be remembered for years to come?? A single win over Iowa...wow great expectations. How about winning a bowl game for the first time in 8 years, or even getting to a bowl game in the last 5.

Iowa's last bowl win is one whole year more recent than Iowa State's. Keep cranking through Illinois, Purdue, and that Big Ten West murderer's row...

You're a Hawkeye troll and you're not good at it either. You got called out right when you signed up on here. Let's keep this thread about Stanley and his turnover issues.

It would be nice to get to him early and often. Even if we don't get any sacks just to get in his head a little might make it even harder for him to settle down. And hey he might just turn the wrong way on a handoff and fumble it;)

It will be really important to keep him off balance early. I think he'll turn the ball over a couple of times, so if the running game is kept in check it should be a close game.
Hopefully our punter doesn't wiff and give a go ahead td.

That kind of stuff you just have to expect when playing Iowa. The also had a punt hit one of their downfield blockers and take a two hop bounce right to the return man 15 yards away.

The big thing with Stanley is, if you are going to bring pressure, you had better make sure to cover up the TE. That will be the first place he will look under pressure.

I'm going to guess there were similar threads to this prior to the 2013 game when Rudock was a brand new starter at QB and before the 2015 game when CJB was leading Iowa in to JTS.

Did they ever have 3 fumbles and an interception on only 15 passing attempts?

If Stanley will ever have one phenomenal game in his career, it'll be against ISU. He'll turn to flaming garbage in a bowl game, but he'll play like Brady against ISU, it wouldn't even surprise me at this point.

I think we stand a good chance if we sell out hard on the run early-game. Try to force Stanley to do the work early... If you get him rattled, he might not recover. It would also be stellar for us to establish some kind of run game, but that's asking a lot.

Which one? Tom? or Marcia?
