I'm not talking about this year, but the way Ejim has played and steadily improved, do you think he gets a look next year? I've been impressed with him this year and really glad we'll have him for one more year.

Why don't you bring this up in February of 2014...or never.

He won't be able to play the 4 in the NBA, so he has to drastically improve his ball-handling and shot if he wants to get a chance. He HAS improved in both of those categories this year though... And he plays his *** off, so I wouldn't totally rule him out.

If he could tighten up his handles and up his 3 percentage to 40 or so, he might have a shot

He HAS upped his 3% quite a bit. Don't know if it's at 40 yet, but it's drastically better than his first 2 years.

If he grows 4 inches. He doesn't have a shot as a 3 in the NBA. He doesn't have a good enough jumper, and most of all, his handle is not even closing to playing in the NBA. Even if he shoots a good percentage from 3 he's not going to be able to get it off.

These _______ to the NBA threads really need to stop. This isn't like the NFL. You have to be really, really good to get drafted to the NBA. There just isn't the same amount room and there is too much talent.

What position does he translate to in the NBA? Do you know where they were going to play him when he was trying out for the olympics?

See fitzy's post on how to not be a worthless poster.

This is new territory... Usually I'm the worthless poster!

To be honest I don't know much about what he did for the Olympic team.

These "these ______ threads really need to stop" posts really need to stop. If you don't think so, then say why or pass it up. No reason to go full db.

Well, I am a full db, but I did say exactly why he's not going to make the NBA. And I apologize, I don't think I would have been nasty if there wasn't already a thread on McGee to the NBA this week.

Sorry I didn't see it. New job so I'm not on as much as before lol. I was just watching Melvin and thinking how much he has improved and if he even had a shot to sniff the NBA if he continued to improve next year.

i just don't really know what it takes to get drafted. I know they value size and potential but not sure how Melvin's game could translate. He was nearly an olympian too so just wondered if he fit a role at the next level.

His ball handling and shot would have to improve dramatically. Glad he's a cyclone though, he's going to be huge for us next year.

I think Ejim does. He's a similar player to Kenneth Faried. Remember, Faried was a little shorter when he entered the league.

For as hard as this kid works, I think he may have a shot. He seems to be one of those guys that improves every year and doesn't wear his emotions on the court. Very level headed, smart player.

He has become one of my favorite Cyclones of this era. Silent, stat stuffer, team player, very consistent.
