Not sure. I would ask @cyinneDo they have to leave or do they just have to take care of themselves after they lose? Like what if a team loses on Thursday at 11:00am but they want to stay and watch a team in their conference on Friday at 6:00pm?

I didn’t find that fun.Fun Fact:
Short's Travel in Waterloo is the NCAAs Travel Agent and does all the scheduling and booking for all NCAA related travel.
The NCAA is a black/white thing so Ames being 355 miles from Milwaukee means a flight.
Meanwhile...
I'd guess they could do it, but I'm guessing most ADs and everybody involved just wants to get out of there.
When I got to go to Charlotte back in 2005 with the band, that plane was full of people. Team, coaches, AD staff, high level donors, cheer squad, and band were all on there. I can't imagine keeping all those people for an extra day or two to watch some other games nor trying to split out and rebook for all those people.
ISU would beat CSU easily. They don't face stiff defenses.I'm just glad we're not playing CSU. That Roddy would have Conditt and Jones in foul trouble about 5 minutes in.
I would have thought something similar as well. Like the school is given a travel stipend by the NCAA and the school needs to figure out how to get to the game and back.
No- the planes have been staged to take teams back at certain times- usually the same plane will fly multiple teams home in a day so they will not just be able to “hang out” until the team is ready to leave.Do they have to leave or do they just have to take care of themselves after they lose? Like what if a team loses on Thursday at 11:00am but they want to stay and watch a team in their conference on Friday at 6:00pm?
Um, what?ISU would beat CSU easily. They don't face stiff defenses.
Next door neighbor is a captain. Not only were they affected by retirements, they also furloughed a lot of younger pilots. When they brought them back, they couldn't just immediately start flying again. They had to get back into simulators and complete the continuing education that they'd missed during the furlough. That led to simulators and classes being backed up and it took some of them SIX MONTHS to get back to flying even after their furloughs ended. Not really. A high percentage of current commercial pilots are/were/ ex military form Viet Nam. A crap ton of them retired during the pandemic. Mass retirements have hurt every sector but pilots have a very heavily skewed age distribution.
CSU usually lost to SDS. Sure but not like the Big 12.Um, what?
San Diego State is #2 in KenPom Defensive Efficiency, Boise State is #17, Utah State is #55 and Wyoming is #66.
That Mountain West is a fantastic defensive league.
Donors pay their own way at standard rates. Schools are allowed to sell empty seats.I'd guess they could do it, but I'm guessing most ADs and everybody involved just wants to get out of there.

Really good ownership group that knew that the internet was going to kill traditional travel agencies. They closed their traditional travel office and went all in on the NCAA as their only client about 15 years ago and it paid off big time. They also do a ton of charter flight bookings for the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12 and Valley.Years ago, I heard that an Iowa company was at center of this job. Apparently it is still true. How did a travel company in Waterloo land a job like this?
Not if they forgot Colorado State!!!!Really good ownership group that knew that the internet was going to kill traditional travel agencies. People only really pay attention this time of year but they do EVERY NCAA championship from D3 Golf to The Dance. It's a really impressive operation.
They are not going to ask them to stay in Ukraine.NCAA bending over forwards for Meatchicken. First they got in when they shouldn't have. Then they gave them practically a home game in Indy.
Now they are working the other side of the equation. Probably have CSU end up going greyhound, and putting them up in a youth hostel with no hot water and only 1 bathroom.
If you allow the NCAA to schedule your travel then you are subject to their rules. Smaller schools like CSU will use the NCAA for travel because it saves them money. Many (but not all) larger schools just eat the travel costs and set their own schedule and itenary. However the hotel is almost always set up by the NCAA unless their is an issue.I'd guess they could do it, but I'm guessing most ADs and everybody involved just wants to get out of there.

Kind of like how that husband and wife made the MLB schedule for 25 years. A niche skill, some luck, and never screwing it upYears ago, I heard that an Iowa company was at center of this job. Apparently it is still true. How did a travel company in Waterloo land a job like this?
