NCAA Top 25. What a joke.

Late entry for post-of-the-month for July. This was just a guy giving his list. Close thread. Or at least we should stop over-reacting and looking so petty about it.
Well, it is on the official NCAA website. I have no idea if it's just the one writers opinion or they somehow had the staff vote, but the writer refers to it as "our" rankings, whatever that means. Not that it justifies people freaking out over it, but still it does appear to represent the opinion of the NCAA... which is weird. Guess they need click bait too.

This - and all the other posts ripping the Big Ten West - will sound pathetic if we can't beat a certain "Big Ten West team" on Sept. 14.
I believe it. They are probably going to compete for a big ten title this year. Scheduling matters too and theirs sets up well and is overall not strong. All their tough games are at home. I think their defense will remain bad but their offense will win 8 games by themselves with that schedule. Also they are going off of what UCF did. I guess we will find out who is full of crap soon enough.
If im going to laugh at anyone its Iowa. Their offense was bad last year and they lost the only people worth a crap in the passing game. Their Dline dropped the only strength they had. I have a feeling we will finally get over the hump. Would surprise me if we put up 21 in the 4th.
Don’t know anything about an NCAA or AP/coaches “pole”. But the “polls” do indeed carry some weight.
All this stuff is just a giant WAG after the first 5 teams. Don't see any reason to get real excited about it. Win the games baby!
From what I've seen, and I'm sure plenty of you have seen, Iowa State has been ranked in numerous amounts of these polls. I believe I've seen more that we are ranked on than we are not ranked on. I would bet that Iowa State will be between 18-23 in the rankings when the first AP poll comes out. I would also guess that Iowa is right around that rank and also that Nebraska will not be ranked to start out the year.

The NCAA just continues to do things to reduce their credibility. Letting this hack publish an article that looks on first glance to be something similar to an official ranking. Ridiculous.
Also, who else doubts that "Wayne Staats" is his real name? It is probably just a fake name that fits with his fake news articles.
