Kysen was 10-1 going into Big 12's and a win over Joey Cruz & Spencer Moore. So not having that match in last 30 days hurt his chance. He would not of had an RPI, but would have a 70+ win %age and a coaches ranking, so a silver allocation.

I do not have any idea how his health is or was leading up to the Big 12's. I am sure the coaches and himself did not think he would go 0-2.

Kind of surprised he didn't get a berth.

@theshadow Do you have any insight?

The 4 at-larges (and alternate) at 125 ended up as the 5 guys who had "their" spot stolen.

Despite a .786 win%, Terukina also had:
*no RPI
*no CR
*DNP at conf tournament

So they don't redo coaches ranking after the tournament?

maybe I'm being over critical but anyone who goes 0-2 in qualifying tournament
shouldn't be in consideration for a at large bid

Thanks for the information. So he could of he got and RPI if he wrestled enough matches at Big 12? I assume he was at about 14 matches and 1 short

No. Postseason matches don't count toward RPI, because those are finalized at the end of the regular season.

All he had to do was wrestle 1 match in the last month of the regular season (to be eligible for CR), or 3 more matches throughout the entire regular season (to be eligible for RPI).

Wow... huge disappointment. I'm sure he would've liked a ticket to the big dance and another week and a half to get healthy. The season of injuries and weight management mishaps was brutal for some of these guys. I hope the coaches and wrestlers get weights dialed in earlier next season so there aren't as many injuries and misfortunes.

Initial thoughts: brutal. Evan needs to be on his A game right away with Wells. Hate Alirez as the 8 to Jacob’s 9 seed. Paniro as the 4 has a decent path, but who knows what Paniro shows up. Chittum the 16 would have Kasak round 2. Riggins has Caliendo first. MJ the 23 seed vs a CMU kid doesn’t seem that bad. Bockman the 13 would have Plott round 2. Herrera vs Kueter first round
