100% stop saying you want to grow the sport and then continue to allow crap like that. Not just against David either but there have been so many matches this week like that. It’s not what wrestling’s supposed to be. I liken it to WVU bball under Huggins. You dare the officials to call the foul but they can’t call them all. Then the rules committee makes it a point to make the game better by telling officials to call more fouls. But refs won’t do it. Same thing with stalling.

I can’t agree more. The one thing I do like about the Brands and gable before is that they have always preached about pushing the pace etc. and for the most part their kids did the same

It's frustrating to watch these guys he wrestles. You can tell David wants to get to his offense. Something he is going to absolutely drill all summer on figuring these "defenses" out.

I can’t say that I blame him, he didn’t come to place 3rd. Hopefully he gets right mentally and since he can’t win it he gets the best he can

Carr just seems off! I understand stalling on the opponents side, but holy crap he just looks sluggish & lethargic. Not the same David Carr we saw all year. He is a great wrestler just wondering what is going on, has to be a sickness or injury

This. Coaches and wrestlers have to evolve anytime a new “tactic” comes out. Figure out new ways to score and it’ll go away. Think “wildcat” offense in the NFL. No one runs that anymore

Truth. It's more fun to watch videos of barnburner matches from the 80s and 90s than this tournament. Those older matches are much more suspenseful -- even though we already know the outcome.

Another match where a kid had skates on and didn’t get dinged. Almost like a push out would cause kids to stay in and wrestle more!!!!!!!!!

I am starting to agree with you but it think it should happen after 2 or even 3 push outs, not every one like freestyle
