if NDSU was FBS we'd have 22 more scholarships and even more depth. We cool, no worries

Wyoming is a terrible job your coach left you for. Noone can recruit to Laramie or win there and he dumped a 3 time national champ to go 4-8 every year. Did he even get a pay raise? If you were that great of a 1AA in the big picture beyond just wins and losses (your titles are legit I don't want to take anything away from that) why didn't you go 1A? GA St, Charlotte, So Bama Ole Dom, UMass, UTSA... How come you didn't join them and take a step up in the world???

You too scared that if you leave 1AA the big bad Sioux will take your spot of beating up on nobodies?

Sadly what is really embarrassing for ISU is that people will actually celebrate on here smoking NDSU like it matters. When the score is 41-24 and everyone is talking about how great Mangino is it will be humiliating and pathetic. Remember ISU has their 2 biggest rivals weeks 2 and 3 and people are worried about getting past NDSU.... And those KSU and EIU games are going to be tough as hell from an offensive POV that is really early in the season to be playing games like that under a new coordinator. Mangino will absolutely have to pad the stats to build the confidence of his players and keep the fans off his back because KSU and EIU could be really really ugly low scoring games where the offensive looks flat out bad. He just has to smoke the 1AA in this spot there is no look ahead.

If ISU were coming off a bowl game with those 2 games on deck and you were any old 1AA team and not one that just beat KSU it would absolutely be a prime upset spot but its the exact opposite. The 1A team is actually going to be fully motivated.

This. What coach in his right mind would leave a national power, one that pwns it FBS opponents, to take a step down. I mean seriously, look at the money poured into facilities for the bison, look at the tradition built in establishing a pipeline to the NFL, the TV contracts, etc. Pretty ballsie of the dude to step away from the pending mult-million contract. Is the suggestion that he will do the same for Wyoming and them move on to resurrect a once great Portland St. program? Saban-esque if you ask me.

NDS fans have nothing but utter contempt for ISU’s history and current program, mocking us incessantly. It should be noted that the big bad buffalos remained in D II for 25 years after similar schools had moved up to D1AA, padding their all-time win record while pi$$ pounding the little sisters of the poor.

In contrast, from 1928 to 1960, Iowa State was a college member in a university league. Few, if any, Bison fans are capable of rationalizing the difficulties of competing in that situation. Most NDSU fans are 30 something and have no knowledge of the sport prior to 10 years ago. During the decades of the 70s through the 90s the Big 8 conference was dominated by Nebraska and Oklahoma. These two behemoths posted a combined record of 560 wins, 93 losses and 13 ties over that 30 year period. So dominate were they that we probably experienced success beating or tying the two combined five times at best. All Big 8 members battling the big 2 were most often assured of two losses a season. Our conference mates rarely had better results against the Huskers and Sooners than we, and only seldom did any other team in the nation. The Big 8 produced eight “big boy” national championships during those years.

We’ve paid our dues. NDS fans expect us to kiss their championship rings which they keep in their back pockets. Screw them!

$365k to $1million is why Bohl went to Wyoming. Also, He was basically black balled everywhere in the power 5 schools because of things went down in nebraska personally back in the day.

*****

NDSU will not get "SMOKED" by ISU, I can assure you of that with 100% confidence.

Bohl left for the Wyoming job for a number of reasons. It was an upgrade to his job at NDSU. Bohl had won 3 straight FCS Championships with the same QB who was now graduating. His other graduating losses were heavy. Bohl saw an opportunity and it was the best one offered at the right time. So he bolted. NDSU won't be as good as the last 3 years. Their new coach was not lights out at his last head coaching gig.

After 3 NC's, college gameday, stadium expansion, etc etc you are telling me you couldn't give this dude a raise to something like 700k? Pretty sad not being able to afford that if you ask me. Especially since hes probably going to make more as a coordinator after Wyoming fires him than he makes for you guys winning 3 1AA titles. Hell, I bet some Texas high schools pay their head coach mroe money annually than Bohl's replacement is getting from your 'amazing' fanbase!!!

And financially he'd make more money staying in Fargo having that job for life I think 20 years at 400-500k works out to way more money than 4 years at 1 mil. I guess this dude just wanted to live in Laramie instead since his job security is nothing compared to what it was at NDSU where he'd have the job for life.

What did he do to get blackballed at Nebby? Im assuming it was during his few years as DC.

NDSU was not paying Bohl squat. ISU assistants make more money.

Here are the details of the 8 year extension he signed with NDSU in January 2013. Note that in the article it states that NDSU had 13 sellouts in 7 years. Whoopty doo.

LOL...It's a 1AA school. Measuring d**** with a 1AA school is "little brother" type stuff.

You realize if NDSU beats us, as UNI just did, it only makes this thread look worse, right?

First, this thread cannot look any worse than it already does.

Second, how does a dynasty program dump millions into facilities, take 10s of thousands to bowl games and only pay coach 365K? misprint? Under the table money? what gives LakeSteer?

Finally, if we lose to NDSU, and we won't, but if we did -this thread will be the least of our problems as we would be staring 0fer in the face.

Lakes has been active on this site since 2009. He starts the crap and keeps it going.

Stop saying us. Being a hawk fan pretending to be a Cyclone fan on a Cyclone website is real "little brother" type stuff.

Why would you add more seats when you can't fill 18k? Is there even 30k bison fans?
