Not the information I was told or referring to whatsoever. But I can only imagine what all will be speculated. And maybe there is alot more than what I was told. Certainly not trying to be the "I got info but can't reveal source" loudmouth. Just don't think some of the comments that immediately started out on here were warranted.

Abdelmassih is an odd duck. Seemed like when he was here, he was the more candid staff member with the press. I remember Chris doing pods with him for CF. Seemed like a good guy and settled down with an Iowa girl IIRC. He gets such a bad rap in hindsight. Not sure how squeaky clean he is or isn't, and the term bagman is floated around pretty shamelessly in regard to him.
I guess this is part of Fred's plan of action that he supposedly has to redeem himself and the program in what will ultimately be his final season if they struggle again. He is cutting the fat and probably going to bring in some assistants with more experience/more than just a recruiter. It is kind of ironic, I think Matt left a year or two before Fred in Ames as well.

Don't get me going on this. Female recruiting hosts should be banned. FB & MBB have non-coaches on staff and in the case of FB about 20 redshirting football players who can host recruits.
IMO female recruiting hosts is part of the dirty under-belly of college athletics. Similar to the Harvey Weinstein issue with Hollywood.
I always laugh when people think the Hoiberg/Matt A regime here was clean.

It's major college basketball. Every program has a little bit of dirty laundry if they are good. Prohm refused to play the game and look how that turned out.
