Nebraska is the football equivalent of Georgetown in college basketball. Amazing success in the 80's, 90's, and early 00's, but nothing now. The only difference between Georgetown fans and Nebraska fans is that Georgetown fans don't run their mouths all day and act like a bunch of arrogant jerks. Georgetown is also in a rough spot where they brought in a coach that was supposed to resurrect their program (Patrick Ewing) and he's been terrible but the program doesn't have the cajones to fire him yet (which is very similar to the Scott Frost situation).

My read on the thought process leading up to this gem of an article:

(1) Nebraska fans know deep down that Matt Campbell will say no
(2) Nebraska fans are too proud to admit Matt Campbell will say no because Nebraska is no longer an elite program, or at least not that far ahead of Iowa State;
(3) These realizations make Nebraska fans sad and frustrated
(4) Nebraska fans need an excuse for why Matt Campbell will say no
(5) The best excuse they can come up with is that Matt Campbell will say no to the "elite" Nebraska job because he is holding out for an even more elite job.

I’ll be honest, Penn State is one place that makes me nervous given the proximity to CMC’s hometown, the recruiting footprint, and resources. I was thrilled when Franklin took his extension last year. At the same time, Jay Paterno is on the board and seems to be somewhat of a meddler. That’s not Matt’s cup of tea.
There’s a handful of schools to be concerned about: Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan. Nebraska isn’t it.

Notre Dame had a chance to get Cambell last year. Didn't happen.

Im surprised it wasnt in crayon
By opening that article, I expected to have garnered at least a small amount of new knowledge. Instead, I ended up reading a poorly-written article full of adolescent trash-talking. Being that it was SB Nation, my expectations weren't high because there is so much junk written there (no offense to WRNL).
