My wife and I are having our first boy in about two weeks and are struggling finding a good name. My wife is much pickier than I am because she has taught for nine years.

She has already knixed many of the names I came up with, evgeni, pavel, anze, etc. she definitely doesn't want our son playing hockey after saying no to those.

I've been looking online for names but figured the cyclone fanatic family would be more helpful.

What are your criteria for a name? Is there something in particular that you want to communicate with the name?

We are mulling that stuff over in our home, so that makes me very curious.

Sounds like it must be a hockey name.

I'd go with Jaromir

And yes. I did get nixed on this one.

Behind you
Name him after a dad, grandpa, uncle... whomever you've looked up to. Can't go wrong with a family name. Plus, going with a 'Harold,' 'George,' 'Charles,' 'Earl,' 'Warren,' etc. (just some examples from my fam) would be much cooler and old school than some of the cheesed out names parents opt for these days. Just my opinion.

Just something unique.

If you go for unique, make sure it's something that people can spell, since some people (and maybe your future child) are sensitive about others misspelling their names.

I've been used to it for a long, long time, but I know that it drives a lot of people crazy. Since your child actually has to live with the name, it's something to think about.
