Can't believe some 'Clones want to drop Iowa from the schedule. The stadium was off the hook pumped up. It's a great rivalry.

Generally you'll see Hack fans calling for this series to end. It started up in 2000's when McCarney's teams kept costing Iowa's entitled national championships, citing it was a trap game for Iowa.
True, but there's a lot of 'Clones who feel it hurts our chances to be bowl eligible - like going to a 6-6 bowl is a big deal.
I don't know how anyone can look at the emotion and excitement in this series and want to get rid of it.
It's also a guaranteed sellout at Jack Trice every other year for ISU. I'd think they'd hate to lose that revenue.
We've played this game going back to 1894; it's a great tradition and rivalry. I was at the first game in 1977 when it was resumed after quitting in 1934. We don't want to quit this again.
I'm sure I (most of us) would feel a little differntly about this had we lost today. But boy, no other game each year does jack trice or kinnick get bouncing like they do for this game. What an atmosphere!

Seeing Iowan friends and family mingle and tailgate before the game, some in cardinal and some in black, really made me realize the special nature of this game - much moreso than the UNI game. I've always supported continuing the series, but today just really enforced that, all the way around.
