Today...a new day, a new week, and March. Last week is behind us, OU and TCU in front of us. Time for some March Madness. Hope all players are healthy (looking at you MM--played thru it yesterday and made us proud), big revenge game tomorrow, and then...this time next week you can forget about records and play each game for just that.

good luck and I'll be keeping my kids awake as I yell at my TV tomorrow night. Go Cyclones!!!!!!!!!!

Just two more wake-up calls allowed. I sure hope we don't use the "didn't reset the clock for daylight savings time" excuse after that.
These guys are fine......I just get sick of the seeding screw-job we are doing to ourselves. We are seriously staring at getting Kentucky in the sweet sixteen at this point.

Agreed.

Some on here are acting like it's no big deal that we're losing some of these games, because all that matters is the NCAA Tourney. However, these losses are killing us because like you say... we're going to get a much worse seed now, which is going to make advancing in the tourney that much harder.

No losses are meaningless by any means. They all have ramifications. And that is what is so disappointing with this team is that they play the last 5 minutes of games like a loss doesn't really matter. Frustrating.

Exactly. It's hard to R-E-L-A-X when these head scratching losses are leading to an early match with Kentucky.
It's tough to pump rainbows outta one's azz when it's clinched tight facing Kentucky, especially earlier than we have to.

Don't be. He was out partying last night around 11.

That's kinda what I figured. I thought most of it was an act myself.

However, with that "and 1", he could have won the game for us, but his buddy Niang threw it away for us.... literally.

I hope they had fun partying last night after that horrible loss. Sounds like it must have really stung and bothered them.

We have not had a head-scratching loss since TT.

No one cares more about winning or losing than the players on the team. Many a poster on here commented after the game how they were going to drink to get over it and then we call out college age students for doing the same?

Oooh, I needed that. I'm passing voluminous gas and it smells like potpourri....and wait, wait.... yup, I think I feel a rainbow crowning too!
Excellent tune, thanks.

We all didn't get a full ride where a university paid thousands of dollars. Not judging him. But if we were talking about "caring" wouldn't you be in the gym working? Just a thought.

I've finally decided that

1 This team isn't as good as I thought it was
2 This team doesn't seem to take coaching very well
3 This team thinks they are so good that they can get away with not playing defense

I'm not saying I expect every college basketball player to not have a life and enjoy their college experience. But that's what typical college basketball players do. If you truly want to be a "special" player though, that goes on to the NBA to do great things, then you take these losses hard and are immediately watching film that night and working on your game in the gym.

But if you want to be like 95% of college players, then fine, go party. If you want to be among the elite players that make the NBA, then you need to be constantly working on your skill and trying to improve. It's all about what you want to be.

There are a lot of students that get full ride academic scholarships. Were they in the library at 11 last night studying, because if not then they clearly "don't care" about their scholarship.

I think this team has proven that they put in a lot of extra effort in the gym. Sometimes that doesn't always translate, but it doesn't mean they are not trying.

Last night was a very emotional night. Cripes, look at how all of the fans reacted on CF and we all know that there were a number of boneheads that made it worse using social media. No doubt the kids/coaches take this the hardest. They are the ones investing the time and effort. Maybe, just maybe, some of the guys just needed a break to calm down and get perspective. We all do it from time to time in our lives. Doesn't make us bad people or wrong. Maybe a minute away is what they needed. I wouldn't judge it unless it becomes a pattern.

Yes, unless they work themselves ragged in the gym after playing a Big12 game, they lack caring.

Nah, if we're going to be all positive and stuff, I'll go with this one. OP probably used this song anyway for his thread title.
