Jackson and Malou are the keys to next years team. They need to play up to their hype and be 12-15ppg scorers. Throw in Thomas, Burton and Cook that is a good group to build from. I can see CSP going after a graduate post transfer, but that is hit or miss on a guy being available who is a good fit and shows interest. IMO the staff will focus on a JUCO center in conjunction with seeing if a tranfer becomes available.

IMO Carter and Ernst will be serviceable post players next year. Maybe not good enough to be starters, but guys who can give 10-15 mpg. The wildcard is Babb, he provides versatility at the SG/SF position. Any contribututions by Long, Lard and Young will be a bonus.

I think Young could contribute next year. Between Ernst, Carter and Young, I like ISU's front court two years from now.

If Morris leaves for the NBA......and if we have to replace all 5 starters........and if we still make the NCAA tournament next year.....it will be the greatest coaching job ever (by far) for any ISU basketball coach.

So, I know that Monte's status for next year seems a bit up in the air(my gut says he gone)..... But I think even with him leaving I have seen some great things from Matt and Halice that makes me think with them Burton as well as Nick Babb, Ernst, and Carter, than the recruting class (Malou, Jackson, Long, Young, and Lard), not to mention 1 additional spot to fill. A lot of length and a lot of young talent, I think we are surprisingly good. I get that is won't be like this year(losing potentially all 5 starters).... But I think we will be surprisingly good in the end....

Yes, we still have some good players back, some young/new guys that will grow as the season goes, and yes, hopefully a transfer yet. But, if you've been watching Wisconsin this year at all, you see exactly how much tougher it is to win games when you lose your studs, especially ones that have played together in a system for so long. Bo hasn't forgotten how to coach. So... enjoy this season to the max, guys and gals!
