New players now on roster

I wonder what they'll end up doing with a guy like Ja'Quarius Daniels. I'd love to see him catching passes. At 6'4 218lbs, he'd make an imposing WR, or if he can get up to around 235 or more, he'd be nice to see at TE.

The roster shows everyone. Either that means they just threw everyone on there or everyone made it.

Ben Boesen could prove to be a pretty valuable asset at TE. He and Levi Peters are both pretty big pick ups as walk ons. I don't know if the guys were measured coming in or what the deal is but Irving comes in at 6'7, 250. That's a big freshman. Brackens came in a little shorter than I thought he would but still plenty tall to play safety.

That's what I want to know. If they are on the list, does it mean that they're officially qualified? Or is it possible that we won't know until fall camp starts, possibly even school? If they all made it, that would be great. Some of these kids didn't have offers only because of their grades. Had they been qualified earlier, the would have had solid big-time offers. It's exactly the type of class ISU needs to take a step forward. Yes, we need to take some risks once in a while (I'm much more in favor of academic vs. character). It looks like those risks paid off this year.

This is just a summer list and includes all signees and preferred walk-ons. We'll know who made it when the fall roster comes out.

Quinton Pompey in at 295. That is big enough to play as a freshman. And way bigger than any recruiting site had him.

I am pretty sure they need to be enrolled to be on this list. The qualifying risks like Pompey and Bundrage I know are in summer school, so they are in.

I think Daniels is going to be our QB of the future. Not sure why, but i just have a feeling....

I eyed Irving a couple days ago and he is closer to 210. Look for him to play WR as he looks way to skinny. They were only off 30 or 40 pounds though. :rolleyes: :jimlad:

They don't have to enrolled to be on the summer roster. Any player with a completed LOI, application, and financial package can be on the summer list. The school makes the call on whether they will list them on the summer roster if they have not cleared the NEC.

Anyone else notice that Henry Simon is listed. A guy we all thought would commit to ISU, but didn't. Could be old news though.
