I think most people agree that the one with blue was dated and poor when it was eliminated. With that said I really think the one that replaced the blue and eliminated the words was much better. I think that the logo in your signature is another good alternate. I would like to see us with three or four logos.

I would keep the I-State as the primary and then the other three as secondary ones that we can use for a variety of things specifically on helmets.

For example these OSU ones you have modern jersey and pants with an old school helmet. The logo looks alright on the pants but I also think that logo aged a bit better.

Looks more like a tweeked out meth head. Like the dudes running the rides at the State Fair midway minus the hat.

IMO the OSU logo is excellent, particularly in the "Evil Pistol Pete" version.

I tried to get at that in my post. That version is actually pretty good, but that is a modified version of the logo that itself works better. I am open to a modified version of ours I just don't see how it works.

In that case, here are terrible black alternates from Nike and Adidas schools as well as an NFL team.

The Eagles one suffers more from that ugly shade of green they stole from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays more than anything. Both uniforms look like someone threw some black in their because that's what the young folks are into now days without any sort of cohesive design concept.

How has no one pointed out that as Baylor has tried to keep up with Oregon in the flashy uniform game their fans stay stuck in the past creating a clash of toned down neutral/modern sleek colors and bright green and hoover yellow on the sidelines?

The team looks alright but any pans of the stadium look like they could have been crowd shots from 15 years ago. Didn't a lot of our fans complain about the rebranding when JP did it because we had a million different colors and logos going on? I'm not saying this type of thing would clash as much as Baylor or us 8 years ago but it does look funny when you see those schools on tv.

This one is especially atrocious, not because of the design (which is OK as a unit, possibly looks better than the other 2 examples) but Tennessee with black as a prominent color is dumb. The orange-and-white is unique, identifiable. (Accent or framing with black, do so if you must).

A tasteful set of alts, bring it on, I'm all in. What bugs me about the alternate-explosion, is some people will seem to slobber over almost any new uniform set/radical "trendy" helmet design, when a notable percentage of them suck.

Uniform Czar Paul Lukas agrees:

I would too if grey was one of ISU's school colors. It's not so it shouldn't be on ISU's unis nor anyone else's who doesn't have grey school colors. The fascination with grey is puzzling and having ISU copycat a ******* look with grey is even more puzzling.

The Red on Red for us is awful and makes my eyes burn. It's terrible. If we just had White Helmets with White Pants our logo would Pop like none other and look damn good. The All red with yellow(not gold) numbering looks awful, at least outline the numbers with white or something. The problem is we have a HC who is completely stubborn...he doesn't even have a Twitter handle. Hell Kf has a Twitter handle.

I would like to see us do a 2-tone helmet. Left side cardinal, right side gold. Faded down the middle. Similar to the Jaguars, but left-right instead of front-back. It'd be cool with the old tornado logo in alternate color on each side, although I-State logo would work too. Sounds kinda ugly because the Jags look is terrible. I just think we have the bright colors to pull it off.
