10-11 wins and a win in the conf tourney would do it.

But we have to beat a lot of teams on the road. We have two tough ones out of the way in KU and Mizzou.

There are very few games we shouldn't have a shot at the rest of the year. At Baylor and at Mizzou, other than that every game is winnable.

Before conference play, I thought ISU should break every thing down into 3 games sets, and have a goal of going 2-1 in every 3-game set. Of those, the ones that will be challenges, are the third set (@Texas, KU, KSU) and the final 3 games (@KSU, @MU, Baylor). Honestly, from what I have seen so far out of this conference, I expect 10 wins from this team; anything less is disappointing, and anything more shows improvement. We go 10-8 in conference play, plus pull out one win in the Big 12 tourney (it has been forever!), we are sitting at 23-14.

Don't you mean 23-11?

I like your logic. I believe 10 wins gets us in. I would love to care about the conference tournament after day one.

Royce was upset last game. He should be ready to roll Wednesday night and the rest of the season. He knows want it feels like to be screwed by the Phog Allen ref effect.

I get the feeling that he is going into the thinking mode: "you are either with us, or against us."

Go get them Wednesday, Royce.

We are 12-5 right now. Go 10-8 in conference play and 1-1 in the tourney.

If we continue to play the way we have been, I think 10 conference wins is very attainable. If we sweep the teams below us (TT, ATM, OU, OSU) thats 8 wins. Take a split with UT & KSU and there's the 10 wins. Plus, I think we can steal one from Baylor, KU, and Mizzou to possibly make up for a loss to 1 of the 4 teams below us.

Another interesting thing to notice is that everyone (myself included) talks about how the Big 12 is down this year. But as of now Baylor is in line for a 1-seed and KU and Mizzou are sitting on a 2-seed. Pretty impressive for a conference that'd "down." Having said that, the depth of the conference is not where it has been in recent years with KSU, Texas, OSU and ATM down.

THis week will tell us if we are still in the NCAA talk or not. If we lose one or both of the games this week, we can start to talk NIT. We HAVE to win both!

Way up there
How in the hell do they have Texas in, but us out?!?

Cuz until the last week, we hadn't played a team with a heartbeat. I really don't know if we're in but I don't see Texas as a tourney team either. Especially with they way they've finished the last feww seasons.
