Rest of the season:

Texas, Mizzou, Texas Tech, Kansas, K state
(But of Texas and Mizzou games we will finally have the mistakes of stupid penalties catch up to us and bite us leaving us 4 more wins)

Final record 7-5. 8-5 after we win the bowl game.

I think there's a little too much respect for Baylor and not enough for Texas in this thread.

Texas always seems to gel about half way through the season. With Gilbert now out for the season and McCoy having to come in I think that gives them a couple weeks of instability to lose one they shouldn't. Our team is going to be coming into it with some confidence starting going 3-0 and winning there last year.

Baylor is a roadgame and frankly a better team than Texas right now despite having less talent. If Baylor was in Ames and Texas was on the road I would flip the call, but I think JTS finally gives us a true homefield advantage with the excitement around this program.

Gilbert actually got yanked two games ago. McCoy started this last week against UCLA and was a solid 12 for 15 with 2 TDs. So, I don't think their QB situation helps us that much. I think UT killed UCLA mainly because UCLA couldn't stop the run (284 UT rush yards) and then UT beat them deep when the sold out.

I think our defense gives us a good chance against their O and if we play with a lot less mistakes, our Offense willhopefully get enough against their stingy D.

I don't think that there's any way that ISU beats OU, OSU, ATM or Baylor. So, they have to find at least three wins out of UT, KU, KSU, Mizzou and TT. It's doable. Honestly, if they clean up their penalties and turnovers, they should be competitive in most of their games.

No one that we were going to beat kNU in Lincoln without our starting QB and RB. No one thought that we were going to beat UT in Austin, and hardly anyone gave us a snowball's chance against Iowa this year.

One thing that I have learned in the CPR era is never count them out.

Baylor will be favored but if we best Texas it will be less than 14. Baylor defense will be the key. we cannot continue to play 1st quarters like we have been.
