You didn't get any Guff from me because I agree with you...Kane was the one player that we never replaced.....Without better defenders and rebounders we will see the same kind of b ball next year.....

Good shooting comes and goes while defense and rebounders are Constants...

Kane was not a good defender.

Heads in the sky
Kane was a bad **** and would go right at a team. He was the deal breaker. We didn't have that this year and constantly had to battle back.

Lol we had to battle back plenty of times with Kane at the helm too... I swear this site has some of the worse revisionist history possible.

I agree with others in that better 3 point shooting would have really helped. In Fred's offense it seems like the shooters get plenty of open looks, but for whatever reason our guys just were not consistent from out there. In our losses to South Carolina, we were 1-18, Maryland-6-27, Tech 11-24 and against UAB 6-23. In each of those games just a little better shooting from the 3 pt line and we win. With Fred giving our guys the green light, and with plenty of open looks in the offense, we need guys that can capitalize better. I realize that is it unrealistic to shoot great from out there all the time, but what we need is just a little more consistently and to be just a little better and that alone (better 3pt shooting) would have made a huge difference on our season.
