What if barnes wears one of them blue iowa State shirts. That would thow all teams into a frenzy except OU.

Harrison going to Iowa State... Good
Harrison going to Kansas, Duke, or North Carolina... Bad
Harrison going to Oklahoma, or UCLA... I won't know how to react

I won't feel bad not rooting for him, or even booing him if he goes to Kansas or Oklahoma, I chose the Cyclones and he could have too. Choosing to go to Kansas or Oklahoma is a slap in the face of the school that I chose.

I'm sorry but this is completely moronic. Harrison Barnes will do what is best for him in the long run. That may very well be Iowa State or it could be one of the other five fine institutions and tremendous athletic programs he has on his list. To call Harrison Barnes, an 18 year old kid mind you, a traitor if he doesn't pick your school is completely absurd. This kid has done everything right in his recruiting process and he will not be "stringing along" the other five programs after Friday like numerous other high-profile recruits. I truly hope that Harrison picks the Cyclones and the University that I cheer for because it would be great to see him develop into an all-time great basketball player and person at Iowa State. But having said that I will wish him well if he chooses any of those other five institutions. Unfortunately I have seen way too many postings in the last few days that lead me to believe that cyclonefantic.com should be shut down for 24 hours if Harrison Barnes doesn't choose the Cyclones. People need to get a grip...this is an 18 year old kid...not Jesus Christ.

I don't think he called HB a trader. Or traitor for that matter.

Give a man a couple of minutes to re-read and edit his spelling. By the way...insinuating that he would openly cheer against HB if he goes to another school is exactly the same type of behavior we have had to endure with Raef, Collison and Hinrich. Just be happy for the kid.

Ok if Barnes doesn't committ to Iowa State than he is just cruel. If this news is true than all the signs point directly to us and it would be a major kick in the nads if he were to decide to go elsewhere

It might not be the best idea in the world to invite the public to your signing day announcement and wear Cyclone clothing just days before it if you're going to announce you're headed somewhere else.... HOWEVER... please everyone.... don't hold it against HB wherever he decides to go to school or make it sound like he kicked us in the groin.

He's just a young man that is trying to do whatever is in his best interests as both a basketball player and a college student as well. He could still announce he's going somewhere else and still be a Cyclone fan, right? He's been a Cyclone fan his entire life, why should he not be proud to wear a Cyclone sweatshirt to high school in Ames?

And why should he not invite the public? This is a big day for him... one he's been looking forward to for a long, long time. Many people in Ames care personally for the young man and his future, whether it's at ISU or somewhere else. Maybe HB feels some of these people would want to come and be a part of it and wish him well?

I'm feeling more confident by the day that he's coming to ISU, but will support him no matter what his decision is. It has to be a VERY tough decision for him. I hope everyone just supports him no matter what happens on Friday. He's just a young man that has done nothing negative to any of us, and he happens to be a great person as well. Support him!!

I will tender no such quarter. Nor expect any in return. Welcome to daily life at CF:wink:

Guys, the kid grew up as a Cyclone fan. I don't think it's much of a stretch to assume that he's wearing ISU apparel because he's a fan. Now, if it were a prospect outside the Midwest that was looking to play ball for the Cyclones, and was seen wearing ISU gear in the days leading up to his announcement, THEN you could make a case.

God, why couldn't Friday come sooner.

Yeah, he grew up a Cyclone fan and his mom works at ISU so it's not really surprising that he has some ISU clothes. It does seem a little curious that he's wearing an ISU sweatshirt two days before he makes his decision though. It could mean something or it could mean nothing. At least it wasn't a sweatshirt of one of the other schools.

The kid has a nice ISU sweatshirt that he wants to wear a few more times before he has to give it to Goodwill.

NOT!!!!!!

He is going to ISU and this is just the sign I have been looking for. I am taking my house payment, going to Vegas and betting it all on HB to ISU.

Doug McDermott just now said he has a very good feeling about HB to ISU, but like everyone else, he does not know for sure...
