That wasn’t so in mid-September of ‘23. But I can see that it might be an issue at times. The tourist capacity isn’t very deep.
North Shore - Duluth and Lake Superior

Summer is crowded. When the leaves are turning in the Fall, it's pretty busy, too. If you can go mid-week after kids are back in school, that would be ideal.
It seemed to be better north of Grand Marais as well. The weekend in Two Harbors was busy.
I always encourage people to get further north. Many people don't venture much past Split Rock.
