Pretty sure it's just become a middle finger to the fan base for Rhoads.

He's been questioned on it, surely he knows the entire fan base questions where is balls are. Yet he continues to make questionable calls.

He's just trying to keep this thing from becoming laughable.... sadly it's going to get there anyway.

Paul Rhoads: "By punting, we guaranteed at least 30 more seconds to be taken off the clock before they would score."

Maybe he thought the game would be close and punting on 4th would be some type of strategy. What a joke. Our guys are playing like they don't even give a **** out there.

TCU doesn't care where they get the ball. We can't stop them.

Our offense showing some pulse is nice. Might as well let them go for it on 4th, right?

Not much to lose with a bad high school D out there.

The thing is, with our defense, punting it *increases* the chance of it becoming laughable. Even before our defense became as laughable as it is, our 'bend but dont break' always was always pretty soft on yards on that side of the field, so even then we usually gave the punted yards back. Now we have an even worse defense, and not as good of a punter. Yet we're punting it more. At least in the hands of the offense we have a small chance of scoring, and keeping their offense off the field a little bit more.

Maybe he thought that the high powered ISU defense would easily stop the miserable TCU offense

That is the only thing I will be upset about this game. CPR used to be known for going for it, and we had plenty of success. Now, he doesnt ever show the balls to go for it.

That's what happens when you have a secure position paying you $2M and have no real performance expectations from the Board of Directors. Sort of a "**** you" to the shareholders.
