But this IS a special, special bunch. Taking a step back from the day-to-day following of the squad and the emotional roller-coaster it creates, CFH has brought this group together and peaking. The coaching job he has done and will continue to do is re-writing our record books. This squad has limitations but they understand them, they work on them, and CFH coaches them to be in the best position every game.

Proud of our program. Proud of our players...

Almost every team has limitations.

For some reason, we all expected perfection this year. We took some of the bumps in the road and freaked the **** out. We didn't realize that all but 2 or 3 teams had similar bumps in the road.

At the end of the day, we will finish the regular season in the top 10 (likely) with a likely top 10 RPI. We will probably finish with the most top 25 wins over the last 2 years. We will have won more road games than almost any other Iowa State team.

There have been a few bumps. But not that many and certainly no more than most other teams like us.

It was hard to watch them get behind in the tournament. The last thing on my mind right now is comparing ISU teams. They are who they are, deal with it!

How can this not be your favorite team? I've never enjoyed a season more than this one.

Kind of a joke since I started a similar thread after a loss way back in the season...

I'm not dethroning my current favorite but these kids are nothing short of special...

What I like about this team is what I hated early on and that is this team is stepping up its defensive level and realizing this **** the defensive emd that gets them going. This is happening at the right time. When this team locks in defensively they are a lot of fun to watch cause it generates the offense.

I felt like last years team with Kane, Ejim and Niang were pretty special. This years team is an 8 man rotation with Niang as the catalyst.

Last year's team's biggest assets were experience, professionalism and leadership.

This year it's heart. And a spirit that says never ever say die.

McKay has turned out to be the emotional leader on this team. His motor never stops and it keeps everyone else going.

McKay is the one to get the motor running, both physically and mentally. He gets the team, and the crowd, charged up.

I know you're kidding but we had seemed to generally had that fixed in crunch time up until that ****** Fran said "You know Niang has made 21 in a row" or something like that. Than boom, bad streak through to the end of the next game.

McKay and Morris is the only reason his team is my favorite team
McKay is a joy to watch play. I don't know why, but his energy and intensity just brings a smile to my face. When he stole that ball on Saturday and went up for a fast break layup, I could not stop yelling. That was awesome!
