Exactly my point. Most of these fans show up watch Royce cross over and have a monster dunk and think that he dominates the game. I miss a pleyr like Fizer who battled every possesion, worked as hard def. as offensively and was always playing with a chip on his shoulder.

What is this word?..

I was at the game and I agree White does not hustle. Twice a Texas player poked the ball away from him from behind him and he just stood there while the Texas player ran by him and got the ball. At least twice after a made basket by us his man out ran him down the court and scored a layup as Royce jogged back on defense. He does not block out his man to rebound but goes to the rim. He is the worst help defender on the team. He had a couple opportunities to take a charge and let the man drive by him and then tries to block the shot from behind. Allen took several forced shots tonight with a Texas player right in his face and Fred took him out of the game immediately after one of those shots.

Stone this guy to death, too? Come on someone else looking at the whole picture, not the sweet no look pass to Ejim. I never once said White was not talented, basically I said he does not play as hard as he should and he has quite a few things in his game to work on. Take it easy guys. I know sometimes it's hard to hear the truth.

Royce is a different kind of a guy. I don't think we should assume he isn't playing hard or not trying. Remember he deals with anxiety and he probably deals with it in different ways. Also, he is a sophmore, but this is the first college ball he has ever played. And this is the first time he is learning how hard you need to play at this level. He had a great second half. And he is getting over a nasty stomach flu.

You can't handle the truth.

It appears the cheese has slid off CycloneCory's cracker. Wow. Chris Allen does nothing to help the team? Dude seriously? Did Allen have an all american game? no. Did he help the team win. 100% yes. Its likely Allen is not playing at the level he expects of himself, but wow, your comment was so far off its getting farther and farther away by the second. Grab your bong, take another, and think hard, for all of our sakes.

You mean how he pretty much singlehandedly fouled 3 guys out for Texas? How he broke their press all night? Or were you meaning that he facilitated our offense for most of the game and distributed to shooters?

PS- Rick Barnes is a good recruiter.

This is the end of the thread. That's all that needs to be said.

I have a tangential question related to this thread. I want an honest assessment, since I didn't see the game and I can assess only the stats about this: Royce was 8-of-17 from the line, which is obviously cause for frustration. But he did go to the line 17 times. Was that mostly because of the tight officiating on fouls? Or did UT start to foul him more because he was off from the FT line? Or was he doing things that forced Texas to foul frequently?

I'm sure it could be a combination, but getting to the line that many times in a game, for a post player, I won't complain — obviously, the percentage needs to be better. I simply don't remember many ISU players getting that many attempts — seems like he's had a couple other games with 8-10(?) attempts this season.

My only complaints about Royce's game tonight were free throws and a few spots where he could have hustled a little more. I think that he dominated the game. He fouled out some of their guys, made it hard to press and distributed the ball well. IMO Ejim has been MIA pretty much all season. And Allen makes dumb decisions. Those are our biggest problems. Sometimes, this team has the basketball IQ of a JR High team. And FT's will cost them a few games this year...almost cost them this one.

Minus Royce our FT shooting is great. The team needs to realize late in the game to keep the ball in SC, Babb, and CA's hands.
