Odd schedule luck

I've been noticing an odd trend this year. I'm confident this is just a fluke, but it still got my attention. In our first 3 big 12 losses this year, the following week Oklahoma State has played (and beaten) the team we lost to. Next week will be shot #4 for the same thing to happen. I get that this is just a stupid thought, but it's like we took every teams best shot, they laid it all out there to beat us, then OSU came in and swept them away after we failed to do it. Against WVA and TTU they just demolished them. Good for them, but still sad for us. What would have happened if the situation was reversed through the whole season I wonder? We'll never know.
Hear me out, but I’m thinking OSU is just a much better team than us.

The difference with WVU and Tech is that OSU was very aggressive on D — stacked the box and blitzed a ton, while ISU played it’s base defense and mostly rushed with just it’s front 3. ISU chose to let the inconsistent Doege and inexperienced Tech QB gain confidence while the Cowboys grabbed them by the throat early and never let go. Very painful to watch because ISU has the defensive personnel to do the same thing. Those losses were clearly on our coaching staff.
Agree, our lack of pressure and Doege and Smith having career days is what doomed us. Neither QB may never match those game stats.

Better... sure. Much better... no. Go back and examine some of their games. They had plenty of close games to lesser opponents. The ball just bounced their way in those where it didn't in ours.

Not sure I agree. They only have had 1 Big 12 win where they won by 1 score. They handled TCU, Tech, WVU, KU, Baylor, and KSU pretty convincingly.

Correct. OSU was rough in non-conference, but they have been really damn good ever since. Even against us, it's not like they played poorly. We played the best we probably have and we know that IF our guys play their best, they are a Big 12 title contender. We just never bottled that up aside from a couple of games and the 2nd Half of almost every game. 1st Half of games killed us.

I agree that when ISU went on the road they got everyone's best effort BY FAR except Kstate. The next week those teams that beat ISU looked very mortal if not downright terrible. If the OSU and ISU schedules had been flipped and ISU got all of that game film, might be a very different story.
