Burning through the entire run of "Greek" on Netflix was a guilty pleasure for my Wife and I for a long time. I know there are others on this board who also have a not-so-secret weakness for soapy teen/college dramas and this is actually a pretty entertaining show in that vein. I'm not saying it's great TV by any means, but it is fun.

I'll also throw out The Venture Brothers from Adult Swim. Many people might have heard of them, but they're still pretty under the radar. Absolutely fantastic writing. The kind of show where you have to watch each episode 2-3 times to get all the jokes and references. One of my favorite shows of the last 10 years.

I wish this was on Netflix, because I'd love to just burn through the whole run of the show some weekend. I came to it late in college and now I don't have cable anymore.

My brother has the original (David Janssen) Fugitive series on DVD. Kept telling me they are good and hold up. While home for Christmas he loaned us the first set from the first season (1963/64). I think we watched the whole box in about 2-3 days. While not off the beaten path in the sense that most people have heard of it, many just from the action movies, if you're young you probably never had a chance to see them. I was pretty young when they originally showed so much of it was over my head at the time.

Also, I love to see the vintage cars and future big-name stars making appearances. And people are smoking, like EVERYWHERE, even hospitals and gas stations!

I think all but the last season are B&W, so if that's a big deal that's what it is.

I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes when we get back north for the summer.

Veronica Mars is a great show, only 3 seasons. The first seasons is one of my favorite seasons of television ever. When I got it on DVD in college, I forced my boyfriend and his roommate to watch an episode with me, and they ended up watching the whole thing in about 3 days. Seasons 2 and 3 suffer a bit by comparison, but still a lot better than a lot of things on TV.

One of my favorite episodes of the IT Crowd was the poo on the forehead episode.

Freaks and Geeks is a great show that ran for only one season. The cast has a half-dozen big names in it, many of them had a big start on the show. I loved it.

I had a spazz attack when they canceled this show...I thought it was hilarious and the cast was ridiculous. They all ended up going on to bigger and better things.

First post but I couldn't resist as two great British tv series are missing from this discussion. One of my all time favorites is Peep Show and it currently has all 7 seasons available. The other, for those Todd Margaret fans, stars Sharon Horgan and is called Pulling. Both are bit more on the bawdy side.

Also, I'd second Portlandia. Just mercilessly mocks hipsters.

Jehrico, I thought was awesome. Post-apocalypse in smalltown Kansas. Only ran two seasons, but you can see it on Netflix. Wish it would have kept going.

I'll second Chuck. I'm kind of Bummed tonight is the last episode ever.

Stargate SG-1 was great, Atlantis not so much, Universe was a waste of time.

Firefly is also great.

Eureka/Warehouse 13/Alphas are all good, nerdy, not-well-known shows on SyFy.

Not sure if this is off the beaten path, since it won a golden globe, but Homeland was the best show on tv last year, in my opinion.

The entire Stargate saga. Got through SG-1, am more than halfway through Atlantis, and I have Universe yet to go.

Stargate Universe is excellent, it isn't quirky and goofy like the other Stargates. Good graphics, good sets, good story, and decent/good acting.
