This game has been full of Iowa State not being able to hit shots, and awful calls by the refs. (Not just against ISU. Both sides have been suspect)

I would like to remind everybody, that a loss at the beginning of the season is not the worst thing in the world. Talented teams can lose games early. It happens all the time.

I remember getting on North Carolina in 2005 because they lost to Santa Clara in their 1st or 2nd game of the year by 11 points. They ended up winning the National Championship.

How can Ben Simons get so many open looks? Then run an offense, set screens, make quick cuts, use pump fakes, and get our guys out of position. Our offense seems to be clear out, throw it to someone, and hope they can take it 30 feet to the hoop without any help defense. That would be great, but we can't finish. Or throw it in to RW and hope he muscles through 3 guys for a layup.

True, remember Fizer and Tinsley also lost to an awful Drake team. I am not saying this year is going to be like that season, I am just trying to give some perspective.

We are definitely disjointed tonight, but don't overlook how making shots can make so much difference in an offense. ISU has only hit 35% of its shots tonight and when our shots don't fall, you start pressing and trying to make things happen. That said, we clearly have a way's to go before we are a top half of big 12 team.

There is no leadership with this bunch. No team play at all.....they just look lost out there and seem to think it is still summer league.

This will be the first loss this year for a Big 12 team. Good job!

Someone needs to step up as THE PG or this is going to be a long, long season.

This is exactly right. This is AAU ball. I hope I'm wrong, but we have a bunch of AAU all-stars that don't want to do the little things right.

That coupled with the lack of a PG to actually QB and lead this team = LONG SEASON

Game over. Not a smartly played game by the Cyclones.

Disappointed, but not worried. Early season road test against a motivated little brother, had trap written all over it (just like 1999). We're still finding ourselves. We'll be fine.

In fact, this game reminds me so much of the '99-00 game it's scary.

We have absolutely no inside game and no point guard, point guard i thought would be okay, wow was I waaaayyy ******* off. No coaching no gellin on this team we are in trouble. So apparently we miss DG pretty bad and Coach Lutz.
