It was barely a bump by UCF and Jefferson ended up raking his arms. That’s an easy foul call every time. The ONLY way it’s not, is if the defender goes down on the contact by the offense and I’d bet that’s a 50/50 call at best and leads to an easy layup more often than not because the officials will allow that contact underneath.

I played in the 2000’s and have officiated in the 2000s-present day. I would never have called that a charge or expected a charge to be called. That’s just basketball under the basket.

I appreciate your evaluation. I would disagree with "barely a bump". I would argue the rake was caused by contact and before contact Jefferson was vertical, which is legal guarding position. No?
