I hope these refs enjoy their bump in their bank account because that was so obvious during the whole game
30-19 in fouls. You absolutely will not convince me that we foul more than ThugBall. Even less so that we foul over 50% more.
Huge sting....what's wild is the Tech one was "play like all stars then collapse" while today wasnt that at all....just a choppy game with no rhythm and of course not doing any favors for ourselves.
Gutty performance tonight in one of the worst officiated games of the year. Proud of the effort. On to the next one.
They haven't learnt from the three road loses, not going to learn from this. This is how the tournament officiates
I typically don’t either, but they called us every time we took the lead and/or got to within 1. This game was rigged.
I don't even know how to describe what I just watched. Something resembling basketball while high on narcotics and the rules change every other minute with some zebras that are scared of a large man on a stool?

bad officiating. Every call went their way at the end. Gabe drew a charge, Toussaint with the complete flop at the end gets rewarded. Wish Grill would have got that run out layup to go (although I understand he was going full bore so not easy)
Nope, we DO NOT practically foul out the entire opposing team, EVER. This was rare air for HORRENDOUS officiating.
The Big 12 wants as many Big 12 teams in the dance. Simple as that. $$$$
Good fight. Proud of our guys tonight. Doesn’t get much tougher than that. Won’t face as much adversity as that. Never quit. Can’t wait for the run back at our place.
Really proud of the guys for fighting through this game. They got off to a terrible start, but rather than crumble, they fought through it. I obviously wish we would have won, though.
As for the critics of TJ, I'm delighted we have him as a coach rather than Huggins - by a huge margin. His demeanor is sour and his style of play is so boring.

Rigged? The refs were bad but calling it “rigged” is dumb. There isn’t some conspiracy against ISU.

Agree. Just amateur hour by the refs, no idea whats going on or how to deal w it.
But thats Huggyball. Punch, shove, grab, hold. And opponents get drawn into it, playing their game, but WV is way better at it. And you lose. Seen it 100 times.
Its like the old quote:
"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience".
The only way to beat Huggyball is not to play.
