We do foul a lot but a reality of basketball is that if a team is a far more aggressive team offensively at the rim and in the paint they will draw a lot of fouls, usually more than the opponent. ISU was that very clearly, only reason this isn’t a blowout already is 3 total fouls on OK St.

6 assists and 5 Rebs for Holmes. Solid first half with Lipsey in foul trouble. Tre king provided much needed boost at the end of the half. Gabe is just so consistently good in Big 12 play.

Because the concept that fouls have to be even is stupid as hell.
Bottom line is we are fouling way more in this game.
There’s another one in us right now.
You could call a foul on every possession in college hoops.

A game between any 2 good to very good teams should never have a foul discrepancy like this game or the first half of the TCU game.

I'm okay with a home court advantage getting some calls for the home team, but this is ridiculous.

Great way to end the half, and it was huge that we could do that. OSU looked like they were going to end it close with a lot of momentum. Instead, all that energy expended and that has to be mentally deflating.

Their length is a problem on the perimeter. Hopefully ISU can adjust to find a way for good looks.

Wherever I go, there I am.
The entire team is rebounding fantastically and that includes Holmes. Despite the those 5 assists, he's had more possessions where he turned it over or wasted a possession with a forced shot or drives (that contributed to a possession breakdown).

Are you watching the game or just looking at the box score?
Hey a$$hole, I'm doing both. You make vague statements about a player being "terrible" and you will get some push-back when they are not. Take a time out Junior.

Couldn't watch or follow the first half, but I did catch a quick comment on the radio that Grill was "hobbled," I think was the word Walters used. What's the story there?

His back might be acting up. He's also had a tough time getting open the last 3 games and you could see the frustration in being blanketed even then (which I think contributed to the Texas undercut which was 100% avoidable).

Hard to attribute how much of his difficulties are due to the back, or to know when it started, but I'd say it's definitely bothering him today.

All in all up double digits at halftime on the road, and that’s including their flurry in the last 7 minutes with two banked in three’s that were ugly shots that happened to go in.

As usual on the road, the first 4 minutes before the media timeout in the 2nd Half is massive. Stretch the lead by a few and bring doubt back into OSU’s minds right away. Never give the home team a chance coming out of halftime.

I didn't make any vague statements. I said exactly WHY Holmes was playing terribly. His decision making, which has largely been superb in conference play, has been terrible today. This is the early season Holmes that is forcing the action and not playing "within" the game.

Someone needs a "feelings" check.

He’s made some great assists, shots not going down, +13 for the first half. Mixed bag on shot selection.

'I hate leads at halftime of conference games because mistakes happened!'

I'm just going to put your silly ass on ignore so we don't take up the game thread with a pissing contest. You have a nice day.
