Thomas and Naz must have monster nights from behind the arc for ISU to get the W. They need to play as a team and find a way to win. Hogue has to get out of his slump. I hope the guys are focused and ready to play. (Especially Thomas, really big chance for him to break out and have a massive game.)

Obviously it is disappointint not having Bryce not in the line up to take advantage of Iowa's lack of height at the guard spots. The silver lining is the program is at the point where Fred can replace the reigning player of the week with either a former 4 star sniper (Thomas), a former 1 option from a D-1 offense (Nader), or a lineup switch with added size (Edozie). I feel very confident in all three options, next man up.

Currently I am expecting Matt to be inserted to the starting line up due to his shooting. (I haven't seen any official word yet). I am assuming Iowa to want to start by playing zone defense and collapsing on Niang thus, ISU needs shooters to keep the floor spaced and open the paint.

As of right now It appears that Monte, George, Naz, and Matt are all starting. All 4 of them are better than whoever Iowa rolls out. Clones 76-74.

It will be interesting to see how the ISU offense clicks without BDJ out there. He was able to create a lot of offense on his own when things broke down and in transition. No one that will replace him can replace those things. If Thomas can step up and make 4+ threes ISU should be OK provided that they don't have another one bucket night from Niang.

Monte will be a little more aggressive offensively, Naz gonna Naz, Thomas will let the ice run through his veins again, Edozie is going to get in there and pound on Dingleberry and White, and Nader will chip in some points and boards.

This isn't about 1 guy replacing BDJ for a game... this is a collective effort to replace BDJ's production by committee. This is where Hoiball shines...
