Yeah, I don’t get that. Isn’t that the whole point of only rushing 3? You’d think we’re in prevent D as wide open as their receivers are
I said that in July and nobody listened. We have our best team maybe ever, but we still have a ways to go to be where we want to be (or some think we are). We enjoyed a really ****** Big 12 last year and this year most of the conference is just as bad, but our margin of error is still pretty damn small.
Seems like we're doing the (frustrating but oft effective) "bend but don't break" defense. Challenging the QB to make all the throws, hoping he will make a mistake.
In fairness, they may be doing the same thing to us.
Their QB, Bohannon (sp?) is in his first "big game" as a starter, so maybe we have an advantage. Game may come down to which QB makes fewer mistakes if this is the case.

The CMC era has already had a season that was decent, but didn’t quite meet expectations (2019). It’s still very early but nothing about the year so far gives me confidence we are taking a step forward as a program.
Not going to panic, still tied, but I prefer not to have to play from behind the whole game, against this type of offense (and not having a quick-strike passing team ourselves).
Zero pressure. They have all day to get open.

If I was a D Coordinator I would NEVER run zone. Man on the outsides and two deep safeties. Zone always seems to have gaps.
