We so rarely play an opponent like this. It seems we've tried scheduling them, but once he game is played the team somehow reaches a program apex. Northern Illinois 2003 was a good example.
I think the culture under CMC is a lot like Bill Snyder's. That includes the slow starts. Snyder often lined up easy opponent is September to cover for it, and by the time October rolled around nobody remembered September.

That game was a ton of fun to watch (especially on the West Coast). I'm disappointed I didn't get to go in person; a group was going to go but we had to cancel because of the Delta spike. Hopefully we'll be able to get to see some games in-person again next season.

gg Cyclones. I admit I didn't watch the fourth quarter (the game was well in hand) so I could attend a firearm raffle at American Legion and then stop by my secret dive bar for a whiskey on the way home. Didn't win the raffle FWIW. Bartender wore sexy arse black leather dress. Sorry for no pics.

In Pac12 news UCLA went down to Fresno State tonight. Chaos abounds in both the PAC as well as all across the football landscape. Man it's good to have CFB back on Saturdays. Going to be a roller coaster season for lots of fans.

Next up is Baylor and shite is going to get real. Not sure if Baylor is legit but their offense is definitely lighting up the scoreboard. On the plus side ISU has a very legit defense. Should be a good offense v. defense matchup.

What I saw tonight from ISU was a much more complete team performance, especially on offense. Still, I am somewhat underwhelmed with the O-Line play as well as by less than dynamic offensive play calling. Call me a heretic I but think the interior power run game needs to be better.

In other news I rooted for the Pokes who took a win against the Smurfs.
